Keep an open mind people and let the facts come out as you get to know your new friend. For me, legal separation made more sense for medical benefit and other financial reasons than divorce. We both agreed, and in this state, it is easy to convert to a divorce if/when either party chooses to do so. It doesn't necessarily mean a lack of closure. It shouldn't take you long to figure out if your new love interest has truly put the failed/finished marriage behind them. I don't look back...because I don't like the view.
