Very Interesting use of the song by Al Wilson,"The Snake" by Mr. Trump at some of his rallys. It is a very interesting metaphor for a lot of this political season. If you give the song a listen, who does the snake refer too, I guess everybody and nobody. Two interesting points from someone who is detached here in Canada. (1) The genesis of Mr. Trump is very interesting. As ratings for television news shows have declined and newspapers are dying (all because of the rise of the internet, the instant news cycle works so much better now) one of the biggest worries all politicians worry about is not being able to get there message out. Mr. Trumps rise in popularity has equaled that of World Wrestling Entertainment. Did he not show at the first mega event the WWE held in Detroit many years ago. And it is interesting through the years he has shown up on those broadcasts on Monday and Friday nights. The point is that Raw and Smackdown are always in the top 5 in television ratings and have been for a long time, ratings are all about the money and I personally believe Mr. Trump is running at this particular point in time to create a World Wrestling Entertainment type of storyline for both the political news networks and the politicians. It is all about the money. I also believe the Republican party is running an experiment to see if they can energize a base and a group of people who (as he states all the time) that have not voted before. I also believe this is all by design, 104 times a year where wrestling takes place, the arena is full of folks who know Trump from the events, and thus you have an energized base. Same in the Democrats, like Bernie Saunders advocates, if you give away free education, the youth will come and Hillary just does not have the charisma to energize the youth. Be careful America, just who really is the snake? (2)Who will Fox News complain about if a Republican wins the November election, thus the Meagyn Kelly, Trump feud, again it is bringing in ratings and of course they are painting Trump as bad. If he loses and Hillary wins, business as usual for Fox, but if Trump does win, they are set up to look Fair, Balanced and Unafraid, attacking the Republicans. As a sidenote, Canada just went through an election and we put a very unexperienced, blast from the past, drama teaching substitute teacher named Trudeau as Prime Minister up here who was voted in to his Liberal party at a convention by 14 year old girls and is also an Obama wannabe who even had campaign people who helped Obama in 2008 working for him up here. As the late Robin Williams once said " It is not the end of the world, but you can see it from here". Hope he did not know something we all should know !
