The spiritual awakening of the majority of the human race.
Yeah.. like that's ever gonna happen.. so I'll settle for some egg-fried rice, curry sauce and chips. |

My opinion is that the "bad guys" and government are always gonna have guns. Why take away the right for the good guys to protect themselves????? ^5 Americans.. NEVER give up your right to bear arms- you don't know when you might need it. |

O.P.,
Yes.. definitely. To visit another part of the world is to understand better the people who live there. It has nothing to do with the fact that you'd be paying either.. if I was very fortunate & aflluent enough to travel the world to many different countries absorbing their cultures, I would jump at the chance to get to know the locals; sample their cuisine; visit places of interest; enrich my knowledge of the lifestyles of people in countries overseas; try to indentify the similarities between us, instead of focussing on our political, religious and cultural differences. I kind of had it in my head that you'd suggest Palestine- not the most popular holiday destination I know, or maybe you were going to say somewhere else, but it matters not because it wouldn't change my answer wherever you said. I would gladly travel to any country that wasn't currently at war [ who am I trying to kid? I'd even visit a war zone], just to get a feel for the place, the way I perceive it, instead of the controlled version we receive via the propaganda tool that is our manistream media & western press. Can't say I'm too surprised at the number of "No" responses, and unless the people who said "No" have already been to the Middle East and had bad experiences, then I cant' quite understand what the reasoning behind the reluctance to go there is. This is our world, everyone's world.. after all; how else can you know what conditions are like in another country if you refuse to travel there and sample it for yourself? :) |

I've recently adapted my views of politics, it's an ongoing process I suppose, but I've realised that the current typical models of two or three party political structures, have limited and limiting characteristics.
Who has control over our lives? Who is practically above the law and can manipulate laws and also make new laws? Who avoids responsibility for their mistakes, even rewarding their friends or collaborators with money, power and influence? Prime Ministers, Presidents, Dictators, Juntas, Governments.. ruling parties, whatever form they take & whoever they are, the people who effectively control our lives.. untouchable in some respects, and the more powerful, the more untouchable. So it's no wonder that the age old ethos of the power-brokers of the world is "Divide and Conquer", it is tried and tested and still works. |

The Dan99/James Bond comparison was funny enough, but after reading Dan's "Hello Mish Moneypenny" comment, I about wet myself imagining what it would sound like.
The 'Mish' would make the James Bond Dan impersonated Sean Connery, was that the Bond whoever said it meant? Haha.. Dan's a cross between Lee Evans, Mr. Bean, James Bond and "Tourettes Guy" from y0utube. |

...? You can't "Un-Addict" yourself From "Mingle2"... ...? I haven't been here long so I can't say, but I do know this much.. .. rather than break an addiction to anything or anyone, is easier when you find a replacement addiction. Which takes us right back to step one.. breaking an addiction, albeit a different one. |

Eating an egg is technically aborting a chicken, therefore depriving the aborted chicken of the right to be eaten by anyone.
In my humble opinion and equally humble knowledge of mathematics and chickens, I submit that eating an egg should be factored into the "How many chickens have you eaten?" equation as -1; ie- exactly 1 egg eaten would negate exactly 1 chicken eaten. [potentially; the probability that the egg would hatch; live a short and crappy life; then be eaten by humans is closer to 93.264%] In summary: all you people who have guesstimated how many chickens you've eaten, should now have to guesstimate how many eggs you've eaten, then subtract your eggs-eaten estimate from your chickens-eaten estimate. Or vice versa if you've eaten more eggs than chickens. And you egg eaters.. did it ever cross your mind, as you devoured that poached egg on hot buttered toast, or Spanish omelette, that for every single egg they contained, you deprived one chicken of it's birth right of a short, cramped, crappy existence, then slaughter for human consumption? No, I didn't think so.. somebody has some soul searching to do.. Don't even get me started on Chicken-Mayo baked potatoes. |

I was just wondering.. what do they do with chickens rectums?
I mean.. you know what mechanised food processing is like, and nothing goes to waste in those places.. so I ask in genuine curiosity; what do they put chickens bums in? Do they mince them and put them in Chicken pate? Overcook them and sell them as "squid-rings"? The mind boggles.. I think i'll start my own chicken farm and when they're ripe for eating, i'll just throw away the unmentionable, anatomical parts. |
