i don't mean to be a big downer here, but.....when we come out of something and have learned to be more cautious, guarded and or protective of ourselves, that's not the same to me as having been "made stronger" this saying, on the mary poppins scale of spoons full of sugar, ranks right up there with the best of them, however on the reality calibration scope, it scores very low. I like the spoons full of sugar :) |

if it is a bullet or a knife that might not make you stronger just saying Or a bus :) |

All you need to do to know that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger is to look around..good luck Thank you :) |

Hello wildflower, that seems to be the ongoing trouble with online chatting and dating. I think its people who try to be a more perfect person in their online lives that ultimately leads to being discovered as a fake personality in the end. There are no winners in a situation like this. You just need to investigate these new dream mates to see if they really are who the portray themselves to be before giving them your heart. In my opinion. friendships are earned through mutual trust and honesty. Better days ahead Yes thats true and Thank you :) |

It is very true. The more intensely you love, the harder the fallout. But. It means you did it right. Overcoming bitterness and fear is only for adults :-) Thats a lovely way of looking at it. Thank you :) |

Why be ashamed of being vulnerable? If you close off and get defensive you push men away. You can train yourself to detect the guys that are neither serious nor sincere and are never going to commit. Part of how you do that is to ask about their long term relationships. The next is to see if the guy is pushy and impatient. Then if he actually listens and respects what you have to say....Lastly, pay attention to how he talks about other women. Thank you :) |

"I've learnt a lot dating. I haven't learnt to protect my heart though.
I'm ashamed of that. I do love a lot. I am stronger definitely but when someone said they were one thing and turned out to be another i found i was fooling myself into believing the lie for a good while. I wanted it to be true. I'm free now but its left me empty and sad. More fool me i suppose :( It won't stop me loving though and hopefully in the long run it will make me stronger and wiser." |

I had a lovely date recently and i would like to recommend them. Anybody know how to do a testimonial? Yes :-) First, to make a Testimonial for someone, you MUST be on their 'Friends' list. Then, you go to their profile and click on the orange link for 'Add Testimonial.' ~~~ You may NOT be able to see your testimonial on their profile page if they have turned off that feature. (To turn ON that feature, which is on the 2nd page of profile edit: From a mobile device: http://m.mingle2.com/edit_profile From a PC: http://mingle2.com/user/edit_profile) >>>Edit Profile>>>(2nd page, hit 'continue after 1st page)>>>Show Testimonials (This is also the place to edit for your 'Friends' list to show or not on your profile.) Thank you :) thats great!! xxxx |

Depends what you like to focus on.
I've met some amazing, gifted, warm and witty people on here. A privilege to have met. Quite wrong how are mention about gays and lesbians in a derogatory way. |

Having sex before marriage i think is important.
Its an old fashioned view to believe we keep our virginity. Sexual chemistry is an important part of a relationship, well for me it is. Sometimes its not there even with people i have found attractive. With ways of protecting ourselves from pregnancy and disease i don't see it as a problem. Its part of who we are and helps us evolve. I dont mean a different man every night obviously! Its a natural loving thing to do when you meet someone , find them attractive and want that closeness you can only get during that intimate moment. An act of love. |

i dont keep anything from my lady i think she knows me better then i do myself I agree my partner knows me better than i know myself. I like it that way. All relationships are different though arent they and work in a way thats best for them i guess. I think lots of secrets would leave me insecure and on edge. |
