While it is great to be funny it is also good to have positive assistance too. Filling you profile in helps save on time. it give people the ability to see what traits you have and what they might be interested in or even what they are not interested in. This helps them and you weed out people that just do not want to click with you.

Secondly this also helps other know you are not a scammer. If you have nothing in your profile it does sort of hint at that and that you cannot be bothered.
