After reading other answers , I felt that they have already covered all the Points which I wanted to make.
I just want to say I'm Impressed .A meaningful approach , indeed I liked it how your Poem emphasizes on a Lovely Friend and then becoming a Stranger Again. The feeling of the poem was so clear and to me ,getting that across is the most Important Ingredient of a poem . I hope you don't stop and keep on writing .! You got it correct  and will continue writing unless I get a writer's block

Who knew we would meet again,
Smiling brightly, Sipping coffee, Chatting and enjoying the falling rain.. How we act pleasant, Trying to keep things light, Joking and laughing, Yet praying not to have another fight.. We were so close once, Now we feel a distance between us, Once we were friends, Now feel like strangers, Who don't want a fuss.. Slowly we get up, With fake cheerfulness, We say goodbye, It's still raining, But our emotions are dull and dry.. We walk away, With unsaid words and pain, We lost our chance, Our meeting was in vain, We didn't have courage, So now we suffer in silence, Cursed and hurt, This is our fate, Till we meet again.. |
