Making Love

Music dances within my heart
Magic touches my very soul
Your eyes, they shine like lonely stars
As I pull you close to fight the cold

Beauty felt when I am blind
Your lustful need makes me afraid
Dreams seduce my fearful mind
Your touch is more than I can take

Wonder pierces my many thoughts
As a sigh escapes your tender lips
A sudden rush of something lost
As I taste the hunger of your kiss

I feel the force of your embrace
I know the strength of your sweet love
As writhing passion then escapes
I see our quest has just begun

Then as the night begins to wane
I look again into your eyes
And on your cheek I see a stain
A single tear that hasn’t dried

I softly kiss you on your lips
As I brush away that peaceful tear
You pull me close to love again
As I whisper something in your ear

Then music dances in my heart
As magic touches my very soul
Your eyes, they shine like anxious stars
As you hold me close to fight the cold

I'm new to the site and forums and thought I'd say hello, and add one of
the recent poems I've written.


Hope

Sunlight breaking through the clouds
I feel the warmth of her rays
My heart quivers
My smile sneaks a peak
It's a new day
And suddenly things don't feel quite so bad

An eastern wind battles above me
Shoving the clouds away
Far to the west
Away and out to sea
I feel alive
As if all I want is there to be had

Now only a gentle breeze is left
Blowing to soothe my soul
I close my eyes
I feel it within me
Reassuring
Flowing and dancing like only it can

Then I look once more to the sky
To say a simple thanks
For all the hope
The world has given me
Just believing
That I can become...more than I am
