Had a great Christmas! Spent it with my kids and (ready for this?) My ex hubby and his family... lol! Only awkward(sp?) moment was when his g/f called and he tried to hide in the other room. Too funny!

absolutely! agreed with both of the above comments. It is scary though. Not that I was scared of a six year old. Kinda startled at first. What's scarier is thinking what could of happened if he had gone into a different home. Sadly there are at least 6 offenders in the village I live in. And in a town with only about 2000 people in it.

I dont think you over reacted...I think everyone is different...my childrens friends know they are always welcome in my home.. If they are hungry there is food, if they are thirsty theres always something to drink.. But thats just me... my house is the "cool" place to hang out... Im the "cool" mom .. I dont let these kids away with anything, i expect respect and courtesy but most of them dont even knock anymore I agree. And my kids friends are always welcome here as well. They still knock though. The thing was I did not even know who this kid was. |

Ok, so here I was sitting here checking my email. My daughter is putting her daughter to bed. My boys were out on the porch talking to my sons friend. Well, I turn around and there is a kid ( who I do not know ) helping himself to my sons video game and a slice of pizza. I was shocked! This kid is like 6 years old. It's 9 pm. WHERE THE HELL are his parents? I said to him........UH! Who are you and WHAT are you doing in my house?!?!?! ( I'm a lil bit irked at this point )To which he replies.....Where's my brother. So I went out to the porch and asked the kid if that was his brother. He goes yes. Fine. He found his brother. Great! Wonderful! Right? Nope. I'm still ticked. So, I told them they had to leave and that they were NEVER to walk into my home again without being invited in. And that if they wanted food they needed to ask!
The thing that really torqued me off? This kids father just showed up at my house and tried chewing me out for yelling at his kids.!!!! I was like. Wait. Back up a minute. YOUR child walked into my house. Without knocking. Without Announcing himself. Helped himself to food and games and you're going to yell at me? I dont think so! I shut the door before I ran off at the mouth. But sheesh..... So what would you have done? Or did I over react? |

glad not to live in an apartment Yup it's a "condo" but they are basically the same thing. First the neighbor behind me saying my music was too loud, now the lady below me. The neighbor to the south used to be really nosy. One day I walked outside and looked over towards her place. Her 60 year old bod was in this black silk panty number. She was leaning over snooping on the neighbors below. Sweet mother of all that gave birth!!!!! "Hi!" I made sure she knew I saw her. Well, since then she doesn't bother me any more. In fact she stays inside her place most of the time. When I see her we avoid all contact and my eyes instinctively dart in the other direction. Luckily most of my neighbors keep to themselves. I had one neighbor that lived above me that called the cops once. Because he said I closed my door too loudly. Yeah... they came out, checked the door and laughed. MY back neighbors? They are AWFUL! They know my mother and everytime someone comes over to my house or I leave my house they were calling my Mom and telling her. I was thinking wth? Amazingly they stopped doing that when I started going over to her house and letting her know. Hey, it WASN'T a strange car in my driveway. No it was not a man, therefor I did not get lucky. If that were to happen then I will hang a towel from my door knob just so that you know whats going on in my house! And hey, by the way. I'm on my way to the grocery store, and maybe Walmart. I should be home by mmmm 4 or 5 pm so ya might want to keep an eye out around that time so you can dutifully report back to my mother! She said absolutely nothing to that, her face got red. Her jaw dropped and since then she has stopped calling my mother. Sheesh! |
