I think the Ramones are the best. They wrote some pretty great songs and they were funny as well.

Oh, it hurts for me to have to choose which one I love more! frown
LOL.

... but yeah, Ramones are awesome! I remember when I first watched a documentary/DVD concert of them (wish I could say 'live concert'!), I never got bored even for a minute! (I can't say the same for The Clash, although I'm a big fan of them as well)

I have a pair of red chuck taylors which I never wear anymore (keeping it as a highly-valued memorabile) just coz it's signed by Marky Ramone, haha! (he came over for a DJ set some years back and patiently signed it along with my CDs and docu books). He smelled the shoe before signing, ahahahah! (I was wearing it that night, LOL!)

Darn it, I so wish I was there to experience the punk explosion firsthand!

Ah yes the scavengers when Dr Google talks about those early performances well I was there. ....The memories wow it was interesting times saw the clash in Auckland around that time as well,I can recall pogo dancing at some joint about a hundred of us and the dance floor was undulating beneath us.....I'll go back to sleep now with that amazing memory

That is just too cool!

... and yeah, you're right. Mental Notes was indeed SE's first album. I do like it (the less commercial, the better for me ;p)

Ahhh, so this isn't a wrestling match!... LOL.

Anyhoo, I'm one of those women who do not prefer to date younger guys! (yikes). Yes, I have issues. laugh

Dunno, I just don't feel comfortable with the idea.
I'd rather spend time with someone 15 years older than me (or something) than be with a guy 1 or 2 years younger. It's just me though. I have nothing against chicks who go for younger guys. Whatever makes them happy...

Interesting! I've just consulted my 2 good friends- google and youtube (LOL), and I must admit that I'm not familiar with "Suburban Reptiles", but I sure have heard the other one- "The Scavengers" (without knowing until now that they're from NZ, hehe)... and now I MUST HAVE some of their stuff in my collection (mp3s at least, so slsk here I come! - if you know what that is). Thanksss!

I just realized that I do not have a copy of "Mental Notes" (will have to d/l this as well, teehee!) but I do have the other albums- True Colours, Time and Tide, and Conflicting Emotions.
