In a few days, we will all have an opportunity to peacefully inflict a major psychological blow on the rapidly coalescing police state by the simple but powerful act of refusing to play along with the absurd pantomime on the 4th of July that we live in an even nominally free country – one with the rule of law, an operative Constitution and respect for individual rights. There is no longer any meaningful limit to the power of the government over our lives. Illustration: Wikimedia Commons In a few days, we will all have an opportunity to peacefully inflict a major psychological blow on the rapidly coalescing police state by the simple but powerful act of refusing to play along with the absurd pantomime on the 4th of July that we live in an even nominally free country – one with the rule of law, an operative Constitution and respect for individual rights. One that isn’t a thugocracy. We can turn our backs on the flag. Decline to participate when urged to cheer and sing. No fireworks. No barbeques. We can sit down – and bow our heads. We can mention the unmentionable: That there is no longer any meaningful limit to the power of the government over our lives. No line beyond which it may not tread. That it lies, spies and tyrannizes. We can admit to ourselves the shoddy – and frightening – reality bubbling up all around us. By so doing, we can shatter the illusion that this government operates with anything remotely approximating our consent. This is absolutely essential. The 4th of July pantomime requires that we deny the obvious – that we instead pretend we’re free people living in a free country; one in which the government is accountable to the people, one in which the government is limited by law. One in which people can’t simply be dragooned into prisons without due process, held incommunicado, tortured. A country with a president who doesn’t have kill lists – or use the instruments of state power to punish and intimidate his political opponents. One in which citizens must be suspected of a crime before their personal correspondence is filched through and recorded for later use against them. One in which a traveler is free from arbitrary and random searches of his person and effects. One in which the attorney general of the United States isn’t able to get away with providing guns to gangs or brazenly lie about his use of the power of his office to go after political “enemies” rather than pursue justice. http://rinf.com/alt-news/breaking-news/turn-your-back-this-fourth-of-july/46460/ No one is going to listen to you! You've wasted however long it took for you to type that up! We celebrate The United States Of America on the 4th of July! Not congress, news stories, or bs politics! Our bbqs, fireworks, and celebrations show the government and other countries around the world that we as Americans stand strong and will continue to do so no matter what issues are going on with our government and the rest of the world! That's not to say that we will just forget and ignore everything that's happening! We'll go back to kicking people in the face while drinking Mountain Dew after our celebrations! Silly protests like turning your back doesn't make problems go away! You have to get up off your lazy a** and make them go away! Celebrate this 4th of July as best as you can! For America and Americans everywhere! |

It's got to be much different for a woman especially if they are alone. I think all women who are alone need to keep guns, pepper spray, tazers, etc. I read a story somewhere about a rapist trying to do his "thing" on a woman walking alone one night.. It turned out that the "woman" was a champion male kickboxer/fighter who liked to cross dress! Oopsie! I love karma when it works That's what you get for going around and trying to rape people. Kicked in the face. Bad rapist! |

There's probably worse.
You just haven't heard of them because they're locked away in a dungeon playing music for some criminal gang. |

You do realize that this is the internet and that you could always lie about your age right?
There's no verification for that. Also age can be a crucial factor in successful relationships most of the time. That's not always the case though. |

The Senate's bill was never going to pass the House.
The House's bill probably won't pass the Senate. Immigration Reform is all just political theater to congress. They'll claim they're serious about it and make it appear as if they're trying to do something just to keep their seats. Seal up the border and then focus on what to do with those with overstayed visas and the ones that came here illegally! It's not difficult. The only reason it's not happening and probably won't happen is because of political games! Enough is enough! All of those soabs in congress should lose their seats and ICE and the Border Agents should be given a set amount of money and be allowed to do their damn jobs! |

Well I can see that everyone here thinks that stalking is funny so it is very obvious that no one here has ever had a stalker. I had a stalker for about 2 1/2 years and I actually had the police to tap my phones because I was afraid to leave my house. I just got over going through my Cancer so I was very sick and the last thing I needed was some man bugging me. I called the police and explained everything so they did tap my phones but said they could not really do anything to this person until he did something to me. I honestly believe it was an officer because the officer taking care of my case called and said they knew who it was. So after I got the message on my answering machine I called him back and he said I misunderstood him. Now when he sees me he acts like he is going to pull out in front of me every time he sees me. He watches every move I make...so I went and got a gun and made sure he knew it. I had to get finger printed and now I am a PISTOL PACKING *****. No one will ever make me live in that kind of fear again. IF some one breaks into my house...I shoot to kill. OH and if you think it is fun to have a stalker...you are dead wrong!!! Waah waah waah. Get over it. Stalkers can be stalked. You can choose whether to be the prey or the predator. |

Government Officials Use The Media To Anonymously Make Case Against Edward Snowden Following deadly strikes, the militant Islamist group had realized it was “up against the National Security Agency and the Predator drones that can hover out of sight and intercept phone calls,” Matt Apuzzo and Adam Goldman wrote. AQAP members, they reported, had increasingly started using walkie talkies and code names, passing information through intermediaries, and shielding email with “highly sophisticated encryption software.” But the gov't wants to make it Snowdens fault, so unleash the media lapdogs to the attack! Anything to not afford him the protection of a "whistleblower", serving the public good, they try to label him a spy in public opinion..... before any trial! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/27/edward-snowden-media_n_3510581.html He's not a simple whistle blower nor is he a spy in my eyes as he's not necessarily affiliated with any other countries or groups that anyone knows of. Edward Snowden is a criminal who stole classified information from the U.S. Government, fled with the intel, and leaked some of it and may have even given it to China and Russia. (willingly or unwillingly) Either way. He's different things to different people. The hammer will be dropped on Edward Snowden's head if the U.S. Government ever does get him back. Court of public opinion won't matter in this case. (If it ever gets there) The evidence is against Edward Snowden. He wouldn't be able to get out of it by claiming he was doing it for some grand or noble purpose. He knew this. |

Sheeple is just another word to label people. And people that like to call others sheeple are sheeple themselves since they seem to be following all the other people who use the term. No! Sheeple is not a word and therefore does not exist! Just call them a sheep and stop hiding behind made up words! The wool is on now! Half the words people use nowadays aren't real words. That's exactly why the people using those fake words nowadays don't make sense! |

HOW DO COURT RECORDERS KEEP STRAIGHT FACES???? These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while the exchanges were taking place. ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said to you that morning? WITNESS: He said, 'Where am I, Cathy?' ATTORNEY: And why did that upset you? WITNESS: My name is Susan! _______________________________ ATTORNEY: What gear were you in at the moment of the impact? WITNESS: Gucci sweats and Reeboks. ____________________________________________ ATTORNEY: Are you sexually active? WITNESS: No, I just lie there. ____________________________________________ ATTORNEY: What is your date of birth? WITNESS: July 18th. ATTORNEY: What year? WITNESS: Every year. _____________________________________ ATTORNEY: How old is your son, the one living with you? WITNESS: Thirty-eight or thirty-five, I can't remember which. ATTORNEY: How long has he lived with you? WITNESS: Forty-five years. _________________________________ ATTORNEY: This myasthenia gravis, does it affect your memory at all? WITNESS: Yes. ATTORNEY: And in what ways does it affect your memory? WITNESS: I forget.. ATTORNEY: You forget? Can you give us an example of something you forgot? ___________________________________________ ATTORNEY: Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning? WITNESS: Did you actually pass the bar exam? ____________________________________ ATTORNEY: The youngest son, the 20-year-old, how old is he? WITNESS: He's 20, much like your IQ. ___________________________________________ ATTORNEY: Were you present when your picture was taken? WITNESS: Are you shitting me? _________________________________________ ATTORNEY: So the date of conception (of the baby) was August 8th? WITNESS: Yes. ATTORNEY: And what were you doing at that time? WITNESS: Getting laid ____________________________________________ ATTORNEY: She had three children , right? WITNESS: Yes. ATTORNEY: How many were boys? WITNESS: None. ATTORNEY: Were there any girls? WITNESS: Your Honor, I think I need a different attorney. Can I get a new attorney? ____________________________________________ ATTORNEY: How was your first marriage terminated? WITNESS: By death.. ATTORNEY: And by whose death was it terminated? WITNESS: Take a guess. ___________________________________________ ATTORNEY: Can you describe the individual? WITNESS: He was about medium height and had a beard ATTORNEY: Was this a male or a female? WITNESS: Unless the Circus was in town I'm going with male. _____________________________________ ATTORNEY: Is your appearance here this morning pursuant to a deposition notice which I sent to your attorney? WITNESS: No, this is how I dress when I go to work. ______________________________________ ATTORNEY: Doctor , how many of your autopsies have you performed on dead people? WITNESS: All of them. The live ones put up too much of a fight. _________________________________________ ATTORNEY: ALL your responses MUST be oral, OK? What school did you go to? WITNESS: Oral... _________________________________________ ATTORNEY: Do you recall the time that you examined the body? WITNESS: The autopsy started around 8:30 PM ATTORNEY: And Mr. Denton was dead at the time? WITNESS: If not, he was by the time I finished. ____________________________________________ ATTORNEY: Are you qualified to give a urine sample? WITNESS: Are you qualified to ask that question? ______________________________________ And last: ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse? WITNESS: No. ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure? WITNESS: No. ATTORNEY: Did you check for breathing? WITNESS: No.. ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy? WITNESS: No. ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor? WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar. ATTORNEY: I see, but could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless? WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law. They keep straight faces because they're all secretly serial killer robots. |

Im pondering something and IM interested in advise if anyone has any experience.... so, my daughters father and I were married in 2004 in the UK. HE never made it to the US except to visit a few times WE have lived on separate continents, with the exception of the first year when I lived there in 2009 after returning from 'visiting' with him he decided to not be a part of this family anymore although he occasionally sends an email or sends our daughter gifts on holidays or birthdays,,, my question is this,, since we have never pursued a divorce,,, if and when he passes (he is an older man who constantly claims to be on his deathbed, don't believe him, but one day it may be true).... do I have the legal obligation here in the states to travel to the UK and attend to his affairs? Do I have some obligation towards his funeral expenses? I wont know of his passing unless his family somehow notifies me,,,,should I just offer my condolensces or is that too detached? Easy solution to this problem. Send someone to track him down and trick him into coming back to the U.S. From there once he's in the states you spring the cookie trap and kidnap him. File the Divorce. Make him sign whatever documents or appear in court. Then set him free again when the divorce is finalized. Just remember to keep feeding him lots of cookies and Mountain Dew so he doesn't starve. |

68 - 32 Senate approves immigration overhaul, focus shifts to House This bill (or any derivative of it) has 3 things about it to remember: (1) No border security, only cheap talk, (2) Immediate defacto amnesty for illegal aliens AND their family members, which means no more border security because anyone crossing illegally can just claim to be a family member, and (3) A new national database for YOU and all Americans that will be a way of requiring people to get government permission to get a job or open a bank account. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/06/27/senate-approves-immigration-overhaul/ But.... Boehner: House won’t pass Senate immigration bill http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/may/23/boehner-house-wont-pass-senate-immigration-bill/ I think that bill has something on page 25 that gives congress or whoever the right to not add the border security after it's passed from what I heard on Fox News. This bill will never pass the house. Always say no to 1,200 page bills! Passing something just to find out what's in it like they did with Obamacare is foolish and everyone involved should immediately lose their positions and their pay! Those incompetent soabs! It's all just a political game until you get hit! Then it's a fight! |
