Age 3 is no place to put the cut-off for oral language. Einstein himself didn't speak until age 3. He was labeled retarded for many of his early school years. Children develop at their own pace in the early formative years. Some who seem stupid are actually contemplating the universe. One of my sons was one of these. And then when he did decide to talk he always whispered. He is studying to be a chiropracter now. If you are concerned about a specific child, you can help out by buying them books, offering to read to them, seeing if the parents will let you take them on a journey to the library. Every little bit counts big time to a child.

WE'VE HAD IT SHT UP TO HERE WITH YOUR CRYIN sad AND grumble BELLYACHIN...: HEY GREAT IDEA!! They're finally listening to US for a change! Remember us?? P.S. Stick a nuck in it babes...that means binkie to you, (or pacifier if you never had a baby) Now if you take your time out quietly like a good little boy, we'll still let you vote on it OK?

This is so much fun...the guy who is upset because the money man doesn't need any better health care, could pay the whole hospital bill himself!! Great idea, now why didn't we think of that sooner??
 If just a few people pay cash for their bill, the rest of us may not have to get hit with $7-10 grand in debt per visit! Thanks moneyman, we love you so much!flowerforyou

Welcome back, Jason, I am glad you started this thread.

The point of argumentation is to organize premises in such a way as to show that one set of premises much reach a particular conclusion. If and only if the premises are true. None of it has to be cynical or filled with inside attacks. That's when argumentation becomes fighting, or bickering, which is the part of arguing that can make it useless as Jason pointed out. Probably Jason started this thread for a good reason. Sometimes people on here just like to throw mud. Or they take things too personally. Here is a prime example of lashing out that can muck up the works. I once wrote in here something about how we were having such a fun discussion until someone started accusing people of not being sensitive to their feelings, while being insensitive themselves. I was joking around, Nobody wants to play anymore. And she answered Good, don't play then!

Premise: people prefer to argue in a constructive way
Premise: insults and accusations are not constructive
Conclusion: People are more likely to join an arguement that is not getting tangled up in negative emotions

I have enough trouble keepng up with all the ones that have exactly the opposite meaning, Like It's the bomb, it's bad, it's sick. Do you know why so many black people died in Viet Nam? When the Sergeant yelled Get Down!!... they all jumped up and started dancing. Ethnic Joke, not racist.

why wouldn't they ?

Maybe because you have a mind of your own? You don't have to agree with everything you hear, just to keep your ammo stocked up.

There is a human phenomenon, though largely considered immature, that people have an invisible circle of acceptance. A black and white, if you're IN you're IN, and if you're OUT you're OUT. That's how cliques, cults and gangs operate. I think we can rise above it, don't you?

No need to move to Denver. Once state governments find out how much money they're missing out on, they are sure to jump on board in a jiffy.

Cheney's pissed he didn't get his shot at ruling his evil empire. I forgive him for saying Obama thinks we're not at war. That's probably one of the more intelligent things that ever came out of his ugly puss.ill ... see ya later, Shadesshades

Terrorism is terrorism. Acts of hatred and cruelty aimed at striking fear into the hearts of a community. Perhaps our society should do something about helping people who are on the brink of destruction. More than just listing a suicide hotline that sometimes answers and sometimes doesn't. What if we funded a free psychiatrist clinic for folks who are falling off the edge? Put one in every city. Call it The Relief Zone or the Anger Outlet.

Haven't heard this story, but I would say it doesn't surprise me. Men and their guns. One of the scariest combinations on Earth. I definately did not like seeing open firearms carried blatantly to political gatherings. I fear for the president's life and I don't like the open display of threat. If you can't talk peacefully, stay home. It's complete bull...

I'd like to hear more about the girl who could see a color no one else can see. How does she use it to her advantage? Or how will you find a way for her to help other people using this new energy?

I'm not sure if you are looking for critiques or not. But here's one anyway. When I read Mesotania, I wanted to know exactly when and where this fictional place existed. So that I could fully trick myself into believing it could have. I.E be more specific as to dates and location on Earth. Also, now that you have created a nice visual background for action, have you moved on to giving us specific characters to relate to?

All a big puzzle, Fanta. We don't know who we are. All is defined by other people relating to what we say. I see you... My Generation Baby...bring it on.
