Were there words of that nature in use in those times?

Cowboy GH mentioned Jesus coming to give us laws, but also the perfect example right? I wonder if the perfect example has no need for such words, could it be that we bs to much by using them these days?

I'm glad you asked the question Siamese Charlie

Hey what you reckon my brother about addressing Satan, by means to rule him as what you wrote?

It was a long time ago when I read a book called 'Words from God' by a man named Mathew Kelly. It was incredible at the time and so helpful, but one of the passages was written 'address Satan and you will lose, all your childhood aspirations (paraphrased)'. I want to grow beyond being scared of the idea, though not necessarily wanting to address the Angel just hoping to not be worried to rebuke him if I see or feel temptation coming near. At this time I feel as though I would lose in such an attempt.

Perhaps desiring to rebuke Satan is not something worthy of thought?

Just a random comment asking for an opinion.

Peace
