To me, I don't think anyone can hope to be a whole human being without having the experience of sexual bliss with another human being. I for instance would never seek advice from a priest or nun of any religious faith. Maybe I would listen and do read St. Augustine thoughts on the matter of conduct between the sexes, but only because at one point he was part of a religion that believed in orgies.

We are all scared, but do you want to live your life afraid of your own shadow? I used to think that men over 40 that had never been married were bad but now I think divorced PEOPLE in general have to do some serious soul searching about what they are holding on to. I have been married twice, divorced and widowed. I guess after my first marriage i was not fit for man nor beast for above two years and I made damn sure I told men I got involved with that all I wanted was a warm C88k and i did n't want to hear then talk to much in between. If that is how you are feeling great be honest with yourself and others. But on the other hand if you think you are going to be able to calculated a way to avoid ever being hurt by someone you love them you need to get over it and grow up. What makes relationships worthwhile is that you aren't having them with yourself. I am smiling while writing this. Point is life is Short, Live it. |

I feel fortunate that i have never had to deal with that decision, the women that have, that i know personally did not take it lightly and chose that option by in large because they knew too late the man would not step up to the plate.
It of course is easy to say that if a woman chooses to have a child on their own that there will be support for them, ha. I am a widowed single mother, and i make a point of telling people that when i meet them in parent kid setting because I am woefully aware that coupled people look down on single parents and their offspring. I guess what I am trying to say that although I don't think I would be able to have an abortion myself, i am glad others have the Choice. Finally, I know that I may have gotten knocked up a long the way if it wasn't for the fact that when i decided to have sex, I could go to my parents and planned parenthood. Amen |
