Release The Gates

Release the gates forever hidden in morning,
With their forbidden temperance ever there,
Gently held inside the gloaming,

Let's sink deep into spectacular promise and
Shaded opulence, ancient kings and queens
Found hungering - roaming,

There beyond the hidden gates of morning.

( I have come here - entered through these gates
in the presence of all that is holy - to be with you. )

Thank ye all so very much. I'm deeply warmed by all this light fervor. After reading this piece back I did notice a couple of errors which required editing. I'm terrible at this sort of thing in the overall and do surely wish I had a good professional editor to handle my works. As well, a publisher would be appreciated. The time approacheth!

At any rate I've edited out the slender mistakes and have put the poem into graphics format. Please find it momentarily in here.

Thank ye all, again, so very much.

Dread, my friend,

I agree with all positive input thus - here in the forum. You're writing is deep and this piece especially worthy. Very nicely tossed t'gether, Dread ol' friend.

I get good wholesome feelings from this artistic piece, and, it is my hope you'll continue on with your work here until, say, somewhere beyond the twelfth of never. ( And as we both know - that's a long long time. )

Out There in The Long Mist

A medieval prince holds the hand of his princess there along the shore on the other side of morning,
Their two horses tied to a tree, nostrils snorting steam, appear restless inside the brisk earthen chill,

Flights of fancy, the sweeping mists - a lovers embrace in masked darkness, silhouettes adorning,
Shaken by momentary hints of love's ancient wings unfolding - testing their temperance of will,

In the radiance of love's holy chapel, met in defiance, and in the cool issuance of their own emotion,
They hold one another near, tied closely in the wealth of the sharing of true love's momentus bliss,

And as the early morning sun breaks horizon, and, as the foam rolls in along the shore of the ocean,
They promise one another to never part, sharing words of love - sealing them together with a kiss,

( . . . No more princely crusades nor the unearthly tearing apart of two crying hearts, nor more divisions left out there in the long mist. Nothing left remaining in feathered night meant to force two lovers apart. Nothing more for the prince and his princess to do but to exchange a kiss. )

Postscript: ( From The Desk of The Author )

It is here at my writers desk, my friends, nearest the fire I can often be found lazily pondering the many pros which help me to illuminate night. Rest well and be safe.

Travel To Dawn

Sailor. Ancient wanderer. You're here now - kept in, held in tightly by the sea,
Born to night and her bold blackness made to rise against forbidding winds,

On ships that sail on raging currents, while in the grip of storms crying out to thee,
Solemnly, swimming against the tide along your shore, tumultuous, dinned,

Frightened by the waves, dripping in the movement of sweeping currents, ye drag yourself
Out along the ancient landscape from inside the bowels of the long forgotten, raging sea,

Long may ye rest there, my sailor friend, where nature farms the cold, old seashore - for more.

Tul, Dread,

Thank ye. This is an older piece. I was using a google notepad apparatus ' thingy ' which kept causing me problems with signing in. And, at times, this app would lose all of my whole project of over 145 poems placed there. My work would just disappear. So I dumped the scum bags and joined a site which allows for placement of my works. So far it seems to be secure. So far so good. I've gone through the rigors of starting all over cataloguing my long list of works with this new site.

At any rate, once the period of 5 plus straight hours was over and all of my works were installed there - page after lengthy page, I picked the above piece to re-enter here in Mingle2's Poems and Creative Writing forum. I didn't read it rather just did a copy and paste herein.

Thank ye both,

tommy boy moran / Ireland

You're Choral Evensong

You're choral evensong still wafts across my ether,
I can hear ye clearly in the cool climes of your lofty heart songs,
Here lost in the damp, moist heather,
( Your gentleness like that of a soft falling feather, )

Meant to correct the sad body of all of my wrongs,

Tender is the night brought on by realms of your only grace,
Relevant songs that cry out to me, reach out to me,
To enter with ye into your holy place,
To swim out with ye across the welcoming sea,

Oh, how I want to be there with ye,
An Irishman warmed inside with your glow - your holy graces,

To climb out with ye into your holy night . . .
And be free.
