If I were a guy...and/or bigger...and/or stronger...yeah, me too! As is, I doubt I could do much damage...even with my Irish up!

I've heard examples of abusive behavior being passed down from previous generations. I think if someone is raised around it, the line that we consider abusive might even become distorted in their eyes and could be why some feel they can justify their actions.

I don't like to think I'd allow ANY abuse in my home and if I lacked the ability to control it, would have to leave. Calling the police on my own son...hard to say, since I've never been there. But, I'd like to think that I could catch and correct any precursors before it reached that point.

Of course, this is the opinion of a woman with no children, with no experience with physical abuse. It's just a thought.
