fair weathered people (friends or relationships) are just fake people. some follow the motto: when the going gets tough...they get going..until THEY need something Morning 
There's a place for everyone, even your fair weather friends. Have some I've known for twenty years. Even if they only call when they need something,(inmycasetools), that's fine, cuz ya' obviously wouldn't want them around full time.

Ohhhhh, I am going to stir the pot here..... What about the diagnosis of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome? Has anyone been exposed to that....and the plethera of drugs that go along with the diagnosis? 
 No clue, it's not one that I've ever had a dealing with, the floor is yours!

Not only are the "diagnoses' getting out of hand...ADHD, teen depression, ED, etc., so are the drugs that accompany them. The medical profession, both health and mental is turning our society into a bunch of hypochondriacs. I have yet to let any one test my blood for cholesterol count. Hell! There were no worries about that when I was growing up, why worry about it now! I know my body and I know how to take care of myself. Back to the original topic of ADHD...never an issue with me and my brothers. Our parents were "on top of it" and we were instilled with the fear of God if we were to act up as a kid. We truly understood the meaning of 'sit still and pay attention' and perfectly understood the consequences if we did not comply.

I'm sure you read through, this isn't supposed to be a disrespect thing, nor some lame generalization. Not all situations are the same, and my opinion is never completely formed until all the facts are in. What I've reported are instances I've seen. My point was that not all children that are on it, need to be. Just something a little more interesting to talk about, is all!
