Rejection is a hard thing to get past. You approach and talk to a woman, she refuses you and you sulk away feeling like the kid that tripped in the lunch room and spilled his tray of food across the floor. Some people come to the conclusion that some of us have "it"and some of us don't. And whatever "it" is, they just don't have it and give up. The answer is don't invest so much emotion in saying hello. She just a pretty woman. Not really all that unique and you don't even know her. Why would you work yourself up so much before saying hello? Because you don't want to blow it? So what if you do? Pretty women are not an endangered species. i like it! Yeah, yeah Guys with an overblown EGO are NO endangered species either........ they just think they are all THAT. NOT!!!!

Scammers can be both male and female impostors. It is correct their English is not very good, not that mine is perfect, BUT theirs is worse.
I don't believe in over the top compliments about my picture or what I have written in my profile. I mean come on, he does not know me from Adam, but the guy likes everything about me?????? Then the dumba** ask's for my yahoo e-mail, when I clearly state my preference on my profile. So not only is their English writing bad, they can't friggen read either. Being on a dating website does not make me naive or gullible and certainly not desperate. It simply opens a bigger window of possibilities. I come to like the forums very much and the people posting there seem to be genuine. Why would I send money to a third world country when there are so many people in need on the North American Continent? People are still suffering from hurricane Sandy right now! I have reported some scammers. I still try to be polite when I encounter a impostor, but maybe I should go with the crowd here and make a game of it and see how much fun that can be! |

well thats a way to see it too, what bothers me is the ppl are so careless and superficial and lie, what has become of morals? As I said, a lot are scammers. I was really uneducated about this whole internet dating when I joined this site....So within the first week I crashed and burned. As you I believe in honesty. Our mistake is that we automatically assume the other person/interest has that very same value, but a lot of profiles are simply a smoke screen. So, my advice is; take it all with a grain of salt! I wish you Good Luck in your search!! |

Because this is the cyber world and all that you mentioned is possible with keeping the anonymity of the "players, scammers and in general some weirdos". Myself, I already came to the conclusion that this is not going to work out as I thought it would. So for now, I enjoy the entertainment value of this site and may end up with at least some friends from far away, as my home state seems to be deserted and any possible interests/matches have moved to Timbuktu.

YOU are right, girls/women want a decent guy!!!! In my book a decent guy will win over a rich guy or a pretty boy any day!!! So, once you actually start "meeting" people let your decent side show. Oh, and by the way you are a good looking fellow. Too young for me.......but there should be plenty of younger filly's around. So go join the forums and let your best side shine.
