love to me is being willing and committed to sticking it out with someone through the good times and bad. Emotions and 'feelings' rise and fall, but true love entails commitment, sacrifice and comprimise. Being willing to die to self and put the other persons needs before your own. Being understanding when the need arises. The list goes on. In my humble opinion.
