Just based on what you said it could be a few things: 1. She is selfish and does not see the importance of treating others as she would like to be treated 2. She is upset about something and hasn't told you and doesn't want to talk. 3. She is super busy with something (you would probably know what her days can be like so you could make this judgement). If she has made it clear that you need to be there for her every time she needs you, but she does not reciprocate then you have a problem. DEFINETELY #3.................. |

Take him to the local arcade and point out the ring you like in the gumball machine. 
Let him feed a few quarters into it, and when he doesn't produce the ring of your desire, tell him you like one of the others better anyway.
Win/Win He has given you a token of his friendship, and you have allowed him to do so in a fashion that you can be comfortable with. I would think it would be great fun and a nice silly story to tell everyone who asks why you wear a Felix the Cat ring on your finger.
