Rape often traumatizes the victim so, that the fear of not being believed often inpires them to stay silent. This silence is just as detrimental in that there is no one for them to convey their experience, causing further issues to develop. Some turn to alcohol, some to drugs, some turn to work. But most tend to suffer in silence.
Many wait beyond statue of limitations laws that are common in many states.

These woman can change that law, if not for justice for themselves, justice for future victims.

Rape should be reclassified as is murder, which has no statue of limitations.
Therefore, prosecutors can examine a rape claim and have options.


These woman have a great opportunity to lobby for the laws to be changed.
Lets face it, overcoming silence requires not only courage, but also a society and legal system that will say through action that rape is no longer tolerated.
