well besides the health ins. which is the reason I am for it. Why shouldn't it be recognized?? No we don't need vows to afirm our love and commitment to each other. And you are right heteros don't need them either but you do them cause it is your right. I just think it should be our right as well!! Thank you I do know there is!! I think it just gets under my skin when all the forums that talk about Gays rights verses Hetero rights it always goes back to religion! I am not sayin I need to be married in a church infront of God but at the same time I don't see why I can't!! Like I said before I know God loves me and thats what is important! It is a vicious cycle of who is right and who is wrong. I just voice my opinion is all! |

yes well if unmarried partners had the same right as married partners then it probably wouldn't be an issue at all. It would eliminate the problem of the actually why homosexuals fight for it so hard. It is understood that they dont have the availabilty of marriage to fall upon like a heteralsexuals, but if we looked at it as UMP credits then I feel the issue would actually fade to a certain extent. you are probably right there! But we wont the right to get married and have the same rights as heterosexuals do is all! I don't think it is too much to ask! |

I am a firm believer in religion as well! I know God loves me no matter who I love! I hate that politics and religion always seem to be the center of why people are against Gays getting married!!

agreed I have seen more hypocrites in church than out I have worked for a church...did thier finances for them and the two years I worked there made me rethink EVERYTHING about being a Christian!! A preacher is sooooooooooo different when not standing on the pulpit!!! Oh and I am a strong believer that gays should have the exact same rights as everyone else!! And it really has nothing to do with Religion!! |

The laws enforced in this country are laws made by man and not god!!
I know that, too, but religious people have this herd instinct. They fear to be closed out of their community. It's hard for me to explain as I'm not religious, I just try to walk in their shoes for a while. I agree with you there!! I mean going to church doesn't make you a christian just as going into a garage doesn't make you a car!! |
