The number one thing to remember about all of this is your own safety and the safety of your mother. You most definitely need to tell her and in my opinion just because shes bipolar doesnt mean she needs to be institutionalized (at least not indefinitely). It sounds to me like your stepfather is trying to get her out of the way so that he can be alone with you. You and your mother need to talk about everything thats happened and find a safe course of action...i would suggest getting away from him and helping your mother to find a way to get a therapist and start on some medications if she hasnt already. I say that if your interested in someone you should at least say hello. I know that a lot of the time theres criteria to follow buuuuuut sometimes women like men who break the rules and are confident enough to say hey i know your criteria says no older than 35 but id still like to say hello and maybe get to know you...if not no pressure just wanted to show you im interested. That takes guts and in my case ive become at least good friends with guys that have shown an interest in me. Keep truckin along youll find someone perfect for you im sure of it!
