in bong engineering it is desirable to match the bong volume to the TLC (total lung capacity) - RV (residual volume) of the owner for optimum efficiency and absorption. since the average values for adult males are ~6 L for TLC and ~1.2 L for RV, on average a great size for BV (bong volume) is 4.8 liters. 4.8 L is 4800 cc so that is the volume of a 2" diameter tube (5 cm) which is 240 cm 2.4 m long. 2.4 meters is ~94.5 inches yep - that's 7 ft and 10.5 inches long... so 8 foot long and 2 inches in diameter is about optimally right for guys... 
the rest of it is all in the bowl size, pack, light... and, of course, tolerance and technique...

ive only seen a few threads cover this topic, and in Denver its nearly legal
What is the biggest bong youve hit off of? mine was an 8 footer made from a 4ft candy cane yard ornament and a 4 foot "pog" holder with a hookah stem. took 2 people to use, unless you had go go gadget arms. back in high school. McGyver eat your heart out! |

here in Denver they have a Six Flags right downtown, they have this wicked ride called the Halfpipe. you are on this gigantic skateboard and when you hit the top, you spin like a top, gives you such a rush! thats it, im goin today later! DAMN I want to go today now. Another one of my favorites is drop zone. You want to talk about rush? It slowly takes you up the really tall poll and then leaves you in suspense while you are up there before it drops you. ive ridden a few of those in different states. my fav was in Vegas on top of the needle there. talk about a trip, made going to vegas worth it(i dont drink or gamble and the skateparks are garbage) |
