Personally, as an older and still healthy man, I have had the TB and Polio vaccinations in earlier times, more recently the Covid 19 vaccinations, when these diseases posed a very serious threat to health throughout the world and here in the UK. Including many other vaccinations due to travel overseas, and now I am much older, the Flu, Shingles and Covid 19 boosters to give me some protection from illness since age reduces our own resistance to disease. I would like to thank all those in the medical professions worldwide whom have helped me stay healthy throughout my life. Thank you.

As someone once said here in Mingle2, "You can't expect to find the one for you living next door" So we can expect some travelling, but in my opinion better to look closer to home. I do agree that should you find someone online that you would like to get to know, but lives very far away, then you are in for the long haul because it will take time to get to know them, and before that begins you need to meet in person in my opinion.

An Opinion.

One of the greatest achievements of the United States in the 20th Century was the discovery of an effective vaccine against the polio virus, ending an era when terrifying epidemics periodically crippled or killed tens of thousands - most of them young children.
But had President Donald Trump and his vaccine-sceptic health secretary , Robert F Kennedy Jr, been in office in the mid-1950s, it is doubtful if the US Government would have accepted the vaccine and backed a massive nationwide campaign to immunise potential victims. The price would have been many more children in wheelchairs, on crutches and in iron lungs.

All good advice. If you exchange a few emails and it all looks good, arrange a meeting in real life, if they are some distance away arrange a video chat, but in my opinion the sooner you meet in person the sooner you both know if you want to date each other. Good luck in your search.

The quote. "The heart wants what the heart wants", comes to mind. Personally, I don't think age matters providing they are over the age of 18, and able to legally marry here in the UK. Many much more important considerations than age when searching for a lifetime partner in my opinion.

May be an idea to attend your local church on a regular basis if you don't do already, associating more with those where you are likely to find the someone you are looking for. Good luck in your search.

Due to my age I have the Covid jab twice a year. I have had the Covid vaccines produced by AstraZeneca and Moderna, the latter is now the one I normally receive. The only side effect I have had is a mild headache, similar to the one I receive after my Flu jab, which I now usually receive at the same time as the Covid Jab. Covid, like Flu, is a very serious illness at its worst, and has been shown to be a killer of older people. What saddens me are those people who decry vaccinations, we are now seeing here in the UK increases in measles, another serious illness, because far fewer children have had the MMR vaccinations, brought about through social media creating an anti-vaccine culture since the Covid epidemic. I am very pro vaccination because it saves lives in my opinion. If you are ever unfortunate enough to need a blood transfusion I suggest you refuse it, because it is very likely to have been donated by someone who has been vaccinated, that is if you want to keep your blood clean and pure. Good luck with that.

What puzzles me about all this is, how a young woman from Sweden, a very successful one at that, having everything that comes with that meets a broken down diesel mechanic on disability 25 years older then her. I would think they move in very different social circles. I cannot see them meeting in any kind of social setting frequented by both millionaires and those on benefits, and I very much doubt it was the result of a dating site. Sorry but I think your story is "a load of baloney".

As has already been said here, scammers are very good con artists, they will say what you want to hear. If you feel that sort of connection, arrange to meet them as soon as possible, or a video call, Scammers will not want that, doesn't fit with their hidden agenda, so better to move on. Until you meet them in the real world, don't be drawn in to the fantasy they try and create. Good luck min your search.
