I married my late wife just two weeks after we met, and we spent 25 wonderful years together. Some called it rushed, but we knew what we felt — and we were right. Fate brought us together, and I still believe it can happen again, even later in life. Now that I’m starting a new chapter, I’m curious: how do you approach love and connection after 50? Has your idea of a relationship changed over the years? I’d love to hear your thoughts — and maybe find someone who still believes in the magic of real connection. I don't believe in fate, we all choose our own directions in life in my opinion, however it may turn out. It's never too late to look for love, but better to have a longer courtship, to make sure you are compatible and right for each other. Over 50 you are more likely to be established in life with more to consider than when you were 25. Good luck in your search. |

Men & Women being friends

I have become friends with women by meeting them in situations such as work, evening class, parties, and it has remained as friendship. Dating someone and finding it's not a match, is where I would not want to become friends, for all the reasons mentioned here. Difficult sometimes to see the difference between kindness and interest, your kindness in accepting his visits may have been interpreted by him as possible interest, perhaps he was only seeing what he wanted to see. In my opinion, failed romantic dates should end there, and not morph in to friendship, because if it was one-sided you are storing up more pain down the road for them, or more heartache for you knowing it will never go anywhere. Yes, part as friends, but leave it there.

Let's not forget this is both a dating and social site, you can be here for one or the other or both. In my opinion there needs to be that mutual attraction, similar goals, values, and compatibility, and wanting to make things work. Taking the time to learn about each other by becoming best of friends, before making the big leap in to marriage or living together.

I have several photos, none are blurred, photos should help paint a picture of who you are in my opinion. After exchanging a few emails here with someone, suggest a video call if you feel comfortable with it, scammers will not want that so should help you filtering them out. Good luck in your search.

I like this quote from the internet.
"The phrase you're looking for is "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away," a popular quote often attributed to Maya Angelou. It emphasizes that the quality of experiences and powerful emotions, not the quantity of time, truly defines a meaningful life." |
