You are confounding two different and incompatible paradigms.

One is the evolutionary view with humans slowly evolving from lower life forms over millions of years.

The other is the biblical viewpoint where God created the first two people about 6000 years ago, to populate the newly created world.

Since this discussion is about whether sex outside of marriage is a sin (a religious concept) the evolutionary paradigm is out of place here.

Another evidence for the existence of God is the fine-tuning of the universe: The precise setting of the various forces such as the weak and strong nuclear forces, the force of gravity, the electromagnetic forces, etc. Some of these are so critically set that if the 37th decimal place was adjusted one count higher or lower the universe would not exist or life would not be possible in it.

Evolutionists try to dismiss this by postulation that THIS universe is one of an infinite number of universe with various characteristics and our one "just happens" to have all the right settings for it to be as it is and for life to be possible in it. This cannot be proven of course, but is just a convenient "explanation" for the evidence of design in the universe.

Why should we take your word? Do you go around miraculously healing the sick and raising the dead?
Have you died, stayed in the grave for 3 days, and then came back to life?
Did you tell people in advance that this was gonna happen?

No?...

Then your word means nothing, because you cannot back it up.

For number (1) above I gave one example, but there are many more throughout the bible. The ones in the book of Daniel, about the rise and fall of empires in the future (from Daniel's time onward) are very impressive and history has shown them to have come true. You don't even need to guess at the symbolism either because an angel comes to Daniel to explain it all. (chapter 8 and or 9 if I recall correctly.)

For you I doubt any evidence will ever be enough to convince you. But, I will give you some food for thought anyway.

(1) The bible is evidence for God. Some say ordinary men wrote it to gain power over people, but that cannot explain the many detailed prophecies it contains which we (from our point in time) can verify as having come true exactly. When the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, they included a copy of the book of Isaiah, and dating tests on the scroll showed it was written well before Jesus was even born, yet it accurately describes details of Jesus' crucifixion.

(2) There is evidence in nature, in the "simple" cell. Each cell contains many molecular machines, and the instructions on how to make those machines is written in a precise code on the DNA strand. Codes don't write themselves, this can come only from an intelligent MIND. Chemical actions cannot explain the cell either because the machinery that unzips a section of DNA, makes an RNA copy of it, then uses this copy as instructions for how to assemble amino acids into protein chains, and then fold that chain into its final 3-dimensional shape and install it where it needs to be... all that machinery needs power to operate, and that power is the ATP molecules that are assembled by yet another machine for use throughout the cell. So which "evolved" first: the DNA code with instructions to build these machines? Or the machines that read the DNA code and follow the instructions to build proteins and other building blocks? Or the machine that builds ATP power molecules that provide the power for all this ingenious machinery to work? It's a 3-way chicken and egg type dilemma which can't be solved. Evolution can't explain it because that requires natural selection and that in turn requires that the thing it acts upon must be able to copy itself (reproduce), and that can't happen until all this complex molecular machinery is complete and fully functional. The ONLY thing that can explain this is an outside source of power and intelligence (not a mere force but a being with intellect, creativity, and power) to assemble all these tiny machines and start them operating to reproduce themselves and fill the earth from then on.

True science confirms the existence of God. Evolutionism is not true science, but a kind of fairy tale, an attempt to explain the existence of life without acknowledging the obvious signs of design in all living things.

A friend from church says it's ok if the person you're having sex with is the one you love and are considering marrying. He made an interesting point when he said sex is a big part of a relationship and you want to be sure you're sexually compatible with someone before you marry them.
Whether his view is biblically correct though... that I'm not sure about. I would him to be correct though.
