Homeland Security and the Patriot Act... Hmm. That's a whole can of worms. Democrats and Republicans BOTH voted for that one. They have their good and bad points. I think they both can be abused if not watched. I work for the Rail Road and we now have to have Homeland Security badges. It's a good thing in my profession. Chemical Plants, Refineries, Rail Roads, Aviation and Shipping are active targets. If only they had these checks in Aviation before 911... Since Democrats AND Republicans both voted for it, are you under the assumption everyone is trying to **** everyone else? Welcome to the world of politics.

I gather you are saying that if America declares that it was wrong to enter Iraq that it is not the American peopole who are saying it but as you put it, "not the US peoples, but their governing body." I assume that you are not from this country since people who are not Americans get confused about our way of government. And I don't blame them, because I get confused myself sometimes. Anyway, let me explain to you that in America, the people elect the officials who make up our government. Therefore, the government represents the people. When the government declares war or retreats, it is the people who are doing so. Nice Insight. |
