Does Social Distortion count as punk? I was too young for punk (born in 81) but loved the ramones and sadly thats the only authentic punk music i know. Punk is a social culture, no only an music's style, Ramones, Sex pistols, Sham 69 or Crass thats bands they did a style that was called '77 but there are many styles and very different and remain for punk rock attitude and philosophy. I love Black Flag, the clash and New bomb turks. they are different but equal
