Male : Age: 23 Ah ha,,, I see where your coming from now!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() If it is me you are talking about, Do not assume you know where I am coming from and dont assume you know me either. Your assumptions will lead you to the wrong conclusions. Ok, I'll grant you the openness of mind! That was a cheap shot! If my assumptions were leading me to the wrong conclusions, in what way would my assumptions be wrong? What have you given back for the freedoms you enjoy! If you have already served I apologize!!! ![]() The only reason I havent served is a past heart condition that, in their words "is to much of a risk" . Buch of bull**** if you ask me. When thy told me that I could serve It killed me. My brother was alredy in afganistan at the time so it hit me kind of hard to know I couldnt do my part. Since I cant serve I volentere with local veterans organizations from time to time. |

I do agree with everyone having to do manditory service. But there is one problem with that. When you go this route you not only get the people that will make good soldiers but you get the people that make bad soldiers. Basicly sacrificing quality for quantity. It is a good plan but when you add a weak element into our military you make it weaker as a whole. I firmly belive that is one of the many aspects that has made our military so strong. The Swiss still maintain one of the best trained military forces in the world. Those who can't cut regular force are placed in other branches of the Swiss defense system. Also as stated by Quikstepper Israel uses the same system and ask the surrounding Arab nations about the quality of Israeli Defense Force personnel. I understand that it works for them but the problem is you have people in this country that are not simply cut out for military service. If we did like they do and put those in other parts of the service then it would work fine. I guess it would come down to how it was handled. |

I am not going to read through all the babble on here, but there is no doubt this is a terribly liberal one sided view. I have one, and only one problem with the Was in Iraq, and that is the fact that they will not allow the soldiers to win. The pussificaton of this country is so complete that we have imbedded reporters with combat troops, and troops afraid to fire in a danger situation for fear of a court martial, and public scrutiny. You want to end the war? 1) Find an insurgent in a home? Drag all from the home out in the street and execute them from the smallest to the large. 2)Someone detonates a bomb on themself locate their family and drag the whole bloodline out into the street and execute them. 3)Taking fire from a Mosque? Bomb it into sand 4)Kick every reporter except for military ones out of the country 5)Close all borders. Any activity within 1 mile of the border will now result in automatic classification as enemy, and will take fire. War is hell, and it takes lives. Whose lives it takes depends on what you are willing to do to end it. You cannot institute law until you first have order. Nobody has the stomach to do what it takes to bring that order War is hell. So who are you? The devil? I feel real sorry for you in that you seem to have lost all compassion and humanity. JB It's called being a realist. Yes, I may be satan in your eyes but the insurgency would actually never even gotten a foothold. It is so much more human, and compassionate to allow something to drag on and claim over a million lives than to set the example with the few. Your mentality is a nice one, but doesn't fit into the parameters of armed conflict, sorry. Oh, thanks for the sympathy, nice touch, sympathy for the devil ![]() Yes I do have sympathy for the devil and for people who have lost their humanity. Yes war is hell. Solutions are not easy. Its a loose - loose proposition. JB Humanity is a relative term that does not belong on the battlefield.....ever. You see where it has taken us here. People are still dying on both sides. Women, children, young, old, sick, healthy, it is indiscriminate. The way to peaceful coexistence is a hard pill to swallow, but if you are not prepared to offer greater than equal force to the opposition you will never have victory Agreed, this is just somthing that most people cannot swallow. Most people just cannot except the fact that you cannot have humanity within a hundred miles of a war if you wish to win. A perfect example of where using greater than equal force is when we were fighting the japanese in WWII. There cities were made of bambo and paper, rice paper none the less, two very flamable materials. We knew this and what did we do... WE FIRE BOMBED THEM. Guess what people it worked. Now we have people yelling about every thing from our air burst weapons, that use nothing more than the air to do the majority of the damage and in my opinion is the least painfull way to die, to the DU rounds we use to eliminate tanks and bunkers, which as of right now we have no replacement for. |

This isn't a big secret. Everyone knows McCain was born in the Canal. And you're inaccurate about a person "needing" to be born "in the United States". If someone is born in Puerto Rico, he (or she) can be President. The exceptions for this are the territorial provinces. US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, etc. At the time of McCain's birth, the Canal Zone was as much a part of America as Puerto Rico is now. But puerto rico is not a state and neither is or was the canal zone. |
An interesting question. I didnt ralize it before but if you check the location of mccains birth records. He was born in the canal zone owned by the US, not the US itself. This brings to mind the question of weather they will let him continue to run for president. It will most likely have no effect, but what do you all think. Keep in mind that the constitution says you must be a natural born citizen to run for president meaning that you must be born in the US, Not in its teritorys.

come on that funny. I m they are causeing themselve bodliy injury and getting the public eye. Anything to be on the camera This is what I am talking about. Nothing personal, but it is not simply funny. It was absolutely stupid. arrogant and unnecesarry. Now, I don't knwo the whole story. I don't knwo if the guard was throwing his weight around, or acting the professional and the other guy throwing his weight around, but both are grown men, and both should have just shut their mouths, and acted like adults. The guard could have taken a picture of the boot on the car, and the guy cutting it off for evidence (My background is security and law enforcement as well), so if the other guy wasnt wiling to be responsible and mature then he would have the evidence he needed. Or he could have called a cop in to handle it. THAT is what a guard is NORMALLY supposed to do, in general. If something is wrong, call the cops. The other question I have is, what the hell is this resteraunt owner (?) doing with a taser i n the first place? I am sorry but a taser should be classified and treated exactly as a firearm. It is a nonlethal weapon, and nothing else. Dude first get a sense of humer. Second anyone can buy a taser there just expensive. They were probably using the two prong projectile type. If they want to waist there money replacing cartrages for these. ($500-$1000 a piece) |
