I guess it depends on how someone asks them, some people are nice enough to say, can you please clarify, while others are downright rude and says things like, did you go to grammar school, spelling and grammar is not your strength, etc... That would also be in bad taste, but I have experienced simple requests for clarification be taken out of context and dragged on to appear to be a personal attack. But I understand thanks
