Morning all....going to be a rainy and thunderstorm kind of day..much cooler which is great sleeping weather! lol

Finished painting my office room and finally got all the stuff back in, then had to clean house..I'm worn out and my legs and arms are sore from painting and being on the ladder...lol (getting old)!

Morning everyone, We officially had a tornado on Wednesday night..It was really scary! Roofer woke me this morning, pounding on the roof making some temporary repairs.. Waiting to hear from the insurance co...

Found out yesterday that my granddaughter and her new husband will be moving back to my area the end of this month as Nate got a job with the Timken Co. in Canton..He's a cost accountant and lucked into a good job.. Kaity will be looking for work after they get settled in..Kaity said she won't have to pack much as Timken is sending a truck to move them..Yea!

Also found out my nephew from Phoenix is getting married in Nov so I will be back from my Houston trip 2 weeks and will be on the road again to AZ.. Going to Florida middle of Aug for a wk with my daughter and son-in-law.. going to be a busy time...

Another huge storm last night, power off all night, big trees down, cornfields flattened, one fire dept lost their building and trucks, roofed collapsed, a few men hurt..winds over 80 mph.. Yes, my roof was fixed yesterday, now so many shingles gone they may just replace whole roof.. Not supposed to rain anymore for 5 days...Some places may not have power for up to a week...

Another horrible storm last night, winds reported over 80mph, huge trees down, cornfields flattened, power out all night and a fire department in a town east of me without a department.. Roof caved in and all fire trucks and equipment damaged. Only the emergency responder truck survived...some men were hurt.. No rain predicted for the next few days... And yes, the roofer fixed my leak early yesterday , now may get a whole new roof, lots of shingles gone...
Lots of cleaning up to do today..

Morning minglers....another rainy day, roof leaking again...so what's new?...lol

Morning everyone... another bad thunderstorm last night with power off for a couple of hours...again! My roof leaked again, same spot(after they replaced a lot of shingles.. I keep telling them it is running under the shingles but they think I don't know what I'm talking about...my dad was a roofer and I was on the roof at age 13 helping him, he taught me alot..

My county + 2 others are under a flood watch, river is high..some roads are flooded..

Betty..glad you are safe ....Viv, glad your power is back on...

Power was out for 2 hrs last night, big thunderstorm..
I don't mean to complain as I know a lot of the country needs rain, but we have had way too much of it here, sometimes getting 4-5 inches at a time...

Morning everyone...It's almost noon and I've only been up about 15 min.. I was sick until about 5am, I think from a small piece of pizza I ate last evening...Feeling much better now..No more pizza!!

I also live in an apartment Hippie and my pool is right outside my front door.. I'm in a garage apartment so my back door opens onto the driveway...so convenient...lol Rain and clouds again today...

Not much going on here, people still shooting off fireworks...Still getting rain off and on... Spent yesterday afternoon in the pool and the did some shopping.. Trying to shop the holiday sales for some new clothes, I'm down almost 3 sizes now...found some great bargins..

Morning Minglers, Starting to be a nice day, 80's , maybe a shower.. We have had way tooo much rain recently, send it somewhere where they need it ....lol No plans for today, just lounging around and in the pool...

ViaMusica, becareful of your back.. Mine started that way and I ended up having surgery.. A fusion, stenosis removed and a titanium brace on my lower 3 vertebra.. You might want to get it checked before you hit the gym harder...

After havng Hoover sweepers for a long time, I just ordered a Dyson 40...My daugter has a Dyson and swears by it so thought I would give it a try.. Hope to receive it by Monday...

Weather not co-operating for fireworks today..70% chance of rain...We've had thunderstorms all week, starting to have flooding problems in the area..had over 4"of rain in an hour the other evening..

Congratulations Penny on the 102 lb loss.. sounds like you're doing great!!
I also quit losing (for 7 wks) and was in a panic but the dr said its my body readjusting to the quick weight loss.. I'm now down 70 lbs and feeling really good, younger than my yrs..lol I've been in the pool a lot also, still using my recumbent bike and pilates chair...Had a lot of family stuff going on(wedding, reunions an visiting friends from out of town) and its challenging but I usually eat before I go out and then just snack.. My friends are very supporting and understand when I need a protein bar instead of ice cream...lol Keep up the good work Penny!! Hugs
