Sorry to hear about your dad GL.. It is so hard to let go of a parent or child.. My mother passed in 2007 after having a heart valve replaced but died from congested heart failure.. We (children and gkids)were there with her and she struggled to breathe..The room was silent and nobody wanted to tell her it was ok to let go. I was holding her hand and finally told her that we were all there and that we loved her and when I finished I could feel her leaving peacefully.. It was hard but glad she was at peace..
PS..I know she went happy as she was watching a Cleveland Indians baseball game...her favorite thing to do...lol I'll be keeping you and your dad in my prayers..

Midwest cking in. Got down to 27 last nite. Start of frost season. We've had frost for the last few nights, 29 every night. Yesterday we had some snow..The Cleveland area had up to 6" of wet snow yesterday..power outages and trees down.. Here we go, ready or not. lol.. I'm flying thru Chicago tomorrow (Sat.), hope no bad weather there.. |

Morning Carol and Viv... It has gotten really cold here the last few days and we've had a little bit of snow...brrrr
I'm headed for Houston tomorrow, then Galveston Island on Monday.. Would love to meet up but not much time in Houston.. Sorry.. Looking forward to some warm weather while there..

Morning minglers..
 A cold morning, down to 29 last night and only a high of 48 today...brrrr Finally had to turn the heat on for a little while..
Treating myself to a pedi, mani and haircut today and getting my brows tinted..too many white hairs in my brows and brows are already too thin to tweeze them out..lol Won't be here much next week as I'll be on vacation..Have a great day!! |

Would love to do that but as of right now, I'll only be in Houston on Sunday (arriving Sat evening), in Galveston until Fri and leaving Sat just before noon. We are however meeting up with another high school classmate that lives just west of GI...Maybe another time..
Cold front has moved in and had to turn the heat on for a little bit last night..brrr Will be cold all next week. |

Google Mullein plant leaves, mssilverfox... They are a great natural anti-histamine..
Thank you for that info Jagbird, I'll check it out. I did find out I don't have an infection but probably working on one. Need to use my nasal spray more x per day. The dr did give me a prescription if that doesn't work.. I am starting to feel a little better... |

Morning all! Viv, Hope the weather is nicer when I get there. I'll be there a week , home 12 days and then off to Phoenix for my nephews wedding.. I know the weather will be nice there..lol

Geez, it seems like FOREVER since I've had time to log on  I've had to read atleast six pages back since I've last been able to even lurk on here Having said that and trying to catch up: Thanks everyone for the nice comments on my granson. I just got to see him again the other day... he still has that head of hair. I'm thinking he'll be the youngest one on my side of the family to ever get a haircut when he gets his first one  My mind was only in the gutter for a second.... then peppers and onions took over those thoughts. Seems my stomach is stronger than my mind Sorry to hear about some of the health things some are going through... I hope things heal well for everyone I'm thinking Silver Fox will be on a bike and fit for spring... yes spring  ... it will come back, does every year Oh yea.... the (Just my two cents to add to the pot there) Hope everyone's weather cooperates for them.... It's been really nice in New England, and my mums are blooming beautifully
jemare...I traded in my bike last summer(2012) and let my son get a new bigger bike.. Took me a long time to decide but after several surgerys on my left leg and rt foot, worried about getting on and off the bike. The left leg gets all your weight doing that and the bike weighed 600 lbs. I will just find something else to do.. I went to Florida in Aug with my youngest daughter and have a trip (in 10 days)to Houston and Galveston Island and then a trip to Phoenix in mid Nov. I'm keeping busy..lol Thanks for thinking of me though..

Treasa, so sorry to hear about your injury but hope you are doing better now...sometimes it takes a while to heal. Take care of yourself. Getting out in the fresh air should make you feel better too. I've been getting some therapy on my knee (the replacement). The dr thinks I lost some muscle tone there when I lost weight fast.. seems to be helping but today is my last visit and then I'll be on my own doing them.. Hope you all have a great day! Looking like a fine day here(70).. Yes, If it's broken it will heal much faster.. I blew out my Achilles in 2003 (in the process of moving), had surgery but had to be off my feet for 3 months..I had to stay upstairs in my house as the only bedroom was there. That was the only time I was allowed to be up. People don't realize how long it takes to heal inside.. Don't push yourself too hard and you'll be fine... |

Another fine day for this time of year (70), sun is shining and the leaves are turning color.
cbjk53, don't know where in TX you are but I'm heading to Houston and Galveston Island in 12 days.. I'm excited about my trip, haven't seen much of TX except for Austin and San Antonio...Fell in love with SA! Keep the weather nice for me! lol |
