Hepatitis A is a contagious disease. It travels in feces, and can spread from person to person, or can be contracted from food or water. In cases of contaminated food, it is usually the person preparing the food who contaminates it. http://www.foodborneillness.com/hepatitis_food_poisoning So, utilising some form of distorted logic, you're saying that food workers without health insurance are likely to transmit Hep A? I don't. I would rather pay the nickle than the medical costs involved on the cure. its a no- brainer. DUh and its spelled utilizing I will never ever eat at papa johns and will urge others to avoid it like a disease. So according to what your saying that from the time they opened up for business the employees have been spreading disease? It's not that they are droping their insurance they are cutting their hours so they don't have to pay for insurance. And why does it make a difference? The employees can just go on the state insurance exchanges required by obamacare. That's one step closer to single payer that the liberal progressives want. So why are people complaining about it? You should all be happy these businesses are helping Obama get to nationalized healthcare. |

Yay,great,go ahead kill all those Franchise, then tell me how you support the small Business! its actually a tight spot to be in its like knowing a parent is being abusive to a child removing that parent both saves the child and causes the child great loss,,,,but how many would leave the parent there so that the child would continue to have the 'support' over accepting that the child may find better support and love somewhere else,,,? sometimes , despite the common 'anything they give you is better than nothibng' mentality it is best to stand for SOMETHING , have some standards, and be without the job than to be with a job where you are treated like crap,,,, Who says they are being treated like crap? What effect will a boycott have on those who like their job and it causes the company to shut their doors? Then you have more on unemployment when the job market isn't very friendly. |

Sad thing is with director of the CIA stepping down and Hillary stepping down. There will be no witnesses left to testify as to what happened.
A sad day in the history of this country |

We love millionaires who throw, kick, and bounce balls
We love millionaires who pretend to be someone in movies We love millionaires who play guitars, sing, and dance We love millionaires who talk on late night TV We love millionaires who controll our lives in government We hate millionaires who create jobs I just don't understand it. |

It seems to me the republican party is dead or dieing. The youth of this country has stood up and said we are the smart ones and voted. If the repubs are so smart why did they not even bother to vote? That thought process is absurd. The future is far brighter than the past. Forward Ho! I'd don't know if they are smarter. But when offered free college guess Ida voted for the bamster also. It's tough living in a would where people want everything handed to them. |

One can be sure the "investing class" is well vested in our insurance programs they get a return both ways by screwing over we lucky employees who have insurance with ever increasing premiums and deductibles and getting an ever rising return on their investments in pharmaceuticals and for profit medical system. This nation is ranked 23rd in terms of care by the world health organization and ranked number one in cost. Go figure. Will be 123rd with the Implementation of that Travesty called Obamacare! How come POTUS,Senate and House are exempted from it? They sure sold the American People a Trojan Horse! Well,YOU HAVE TO VOTE FOR IT;IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS IN IT! The Chairman of the Committee didn't even know! Of course we are being screwed Mr Conrad. The 1% own the politicians and the media that forms our opinions. What we have is a start in the right direction and people should be encouraged to discuss ideas and not be mocked by others. I still am rather amazed a man from Zurich takes such an interest in American politics. Hope you bunched the Union-Bosses into that 1%! Hope you'll love your All-Union United States of America! Last Experiment like that came to a sorry end in 1991! Please stop bringing history into this. We like trying the same thing over again hoping for a different outcome <sarcasm off> |

The only reason he got reelected is because there are too many people out that want free stuff and they know the republicans won't give it to them. The Republican plan is to destroy government and reduce taxes on the rich to some prehistoric level. If that's not asking for "free stuff" I don't know what is. "Just let me keep all my money, and to hell with everybody else." Evidence? The party of greed is dead. good riddance. Once again evidence please. An opinion is not fact. |

not a political point, but an observation, how interesting it is that unemployment rates can be such a misrepresentation of actual job loss or growth,,, oh well, by either standard, the numbers are moving back in the right direction I'd be willing to bet the numbers are going to start going back up. |

Companies are giving notices to employees that they will be layed off. Because of the impending taxes and costs of the affordable healthcare act companies are laying people of in droves. Way to go America. well, whats to be expected? their millionaire ceos take paycuts?... nope, those folks who just want 'stuff' will be made to pay so those who already have the 'stuff' can hang on to it and attain more,,, All the ceo's are millionaires? There are a lot of small businesses that will be forced to close down because of this. because OBama was reelected? certainly not..... no business closes down because of who is elected President, its just not that simple,,, Did you read any of the links posted as to why they are doing it? It's because of this administrations tax plan, regulations, and the affordable healthcare act. That's the reason businesses are doing this. So yes you could say in part because he was reelected. There is no chance to change. This administrations policies are not business friendly. the president doesnt set taxes by himself, we have a checks and balances government,, so , no, its not as simple as who the president is the congress plays a big part that people continuously ignore in their whinging about laws, taxes, and regulations,,,, It makes me giggle Obama gets credit for the affordable care act. Then when's things like this happen its the fault of congress. |

It never did. For one its against the law, second the employer warned his employees what could happen if Obama was reelected. lol,, yeah, thats it because there is no possibility of those thing happening if obama ISNT reelected,, No proof? Thought so |

There are a lot of small businesses that will be forced to close down because of this. I don't get it. You are whining about affordable health care? You are whining about people being able to get insurance even if they have a pre-existing condition? Employers have been hiring only part time to avoid having to give benefits or pay for holidays for as long as I can remember. Maybe 20 years, so THAT IS NOT NEW AT ALL. If people want change there will naturally be a lot of kinks and complaints along the way. If employers want good employees, they will pay them well. If people want FULL TIME WORK they will refuse to take part time work. If people refuse the part time work with no benefits then employers will have to comply eventually in order to get good employees. If people are willing to settle for less and work like slaves employers will continue to cut benefits and offer less hours and pay. It is all about supply and demand. If you can't live on the cheap wages then start doing contract work, pay your own insurance, go into business for yourself. Use your imagination. Adjustments will be made where they are required. Nobody loves change, but if you don't learn to adjust to it, nothing will change. I'm not whining about the afordable healthcare act. Just pointing facts that companies are being force to layoff workers or reduce their hours to keep their doors open. It's that or close their doors. You hear how great this was supposed to be. Yet the consequences are goin to hurt people in the long run. |
