It’s worked so far. The other thing that helps is that I’ve built up reasons as to why abstinence is important to me: I want the girl I have sex with to be the only one I have sex with and I want to be the only one she has sex with. I have become a little more open to this, but I’m not fond of the idea of having children. Now, I know there are ways to prevent children coming from intercourse, but I ABSOLUTELY do not want kids when I’m not married, so I simply absolutely will not have sex before I’m married.

It really does help when you’ve got reasons to be abstinent for yourself rather than just doing it because someone you love wants it.
