You can argue all you want but the flu does kill. It can espeically kill people whose immune systems are'nt that good. It can kill young and old alike and even people my age. You obviousely have never had a bad case of the flu that put you in the hospital. I would not wish that on anyone. I for one will allways get the shot- because without it- I would probbley not be here. The flu deaths are going down because of these shots. You need to do further research... I'm not trying to be a pain in the a$$, honestly, but I do understand the science. Why do you think you never got sick from the vaccine before, but now you do? Because they are vaccinating you against a stronger strain because that is what we are helping evolve

As of August 6, 2007, among persons aged <18 years, a total of 68 deaths associated with influenza infections occurring during October 1, 2006-May 19, 2007, were reported to CDC.
Of these, 10 were <6 months, 10 were 6-23 months, 9 were 2-4 years, and 39 were 5-17 years of age. The CDC website also says the mortality rate for Pneumonia and Flu is about 7%, I think we can safely say most of that is Pneumonia, and mostly older folks. The flu, by nature, is not very virulent. We do continue to make it more virulent, however, by fighting against the weakest, most common strains. |

Yes, the flu kills people. Here in Oklahoma there are thousands hospitalized with it. Sevearl die every year. The little symptoms are minute compared to death. Kat I'm going to go with.... 0, but maybe 1 a year. |

I would argue that it is a bad idea for anyone under 60 and over about 8. All we are doing is breeding nastier viruses.
