DC has some decent stuff. I've always dug the stuff that came out of the Vertigo line (Specifically, SANDMAN, PREACHER, and TRANSMETROPOLITAN), and their books have gotten a LOT better since the writing glut of the early/mid 90s in ALL companies.

But I like Marvel more....always have.

The Simpsons is the Better show....but Family Guy is most certainly the Funnier.

Comics are currently the best they've been since the 80s....even better, in fact, because a LOT of books have good writers on them.

Remakes to check out

1. DAWN OF THE DEAD....probably the best of the horror remakes.
2. ROB ZOMBIE'S HALLOWEEN.....Sorry, I love the original, but I thought that Zombie did damn good with this reimagining.
3. THE HILLS HAVE EYES.....Pretty close to the original, save for the last 20 minutes...and that's what puts it on this list.
4. THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE.....Once again, LOVE the original, but I didn't think the remake was bad for what it was. Didn't like the ending though....
5. NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (the 1990 remake)....No where near as good as the original, but this isn't bad for what it is either....Good performances here as well...especially Tony Todd.

Remakes to Skip

1. PSYCHO....because it was just a waste of a remake...why remake something shot for shot from the original?
2. THE OMEN....Once again, a waste of a remake....pretty much the original with current actors and CGI effects.
3. THE WICKER MAN....Not horrible, but not very good either.
4. THE HILLS HAVE EYES PART 2.....Just an excuse to show gore, and this is from someone that LIKES gore, so....
5. NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (The "Special Edition")....Some of the guys behind the original tried to George Lucas NOTLD by shooting extra stuff to put in the original, which might have worked, had the extra scenes not been SO BAD!!! This is actually worse than the other 4, but because 85% is a great movie...it goes here instead.

I loved the X-Files....they probably should have ended it when Duchovny (sp?) left. Dragging on for two extra seasons after that always weakened it I thought.

However, I am up for the eventual movie.

It's cool that Jericho is back.....I hope WWE doesn't allow him to be lost in a rut like a lot of their stars end up being after a while. Coughcoughmrkennedycoughcough.

I'm calling that HHH turns on Jeff Hardy before too long.

And I try watching TNA, but they try to rip off WWE too much, rather than really forming their own idenity.

BTW, I don't count 28 Days/Weeks Later as being zombie movies.

If I did, I'd have to also include DEMONS, which I also love.

LOVE the original movies....pretty much HATED the new three. I mean, yeah....each had cool moments, but even those moments put together couldn't make ONE entertaining film....and on their own couldn't raise those three new STAR WARS movies farther than the Badly Written/Acted/CGI wankfests they turned out to be.

IMO, SERENITY >>>>>>>> Any of the New STAR WARS movies.

What's funny is that as bad as what Kathy Bates does do Jimmy Cann's ankles in the movie.....what her character does to his character's ankles/feet in the book is FAR worse.

I always wanted to check out FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 3 in its original 3-D format.
