I still don't believe we need a physical wall .. we just need to use the technology we have on hand.. I actually agree me too, just in certain places. One thing for sure, the border has been open too long. |

either way, the end result was to restrict travel between two sides, and it was torn down. yes, and replaced it with a new one. |

Even of children were brought here illegally by their parents, when they become adults, they need to get visas or become citizens That's just a law from the racist, white man Republican oppressors. Liberals Progressives just want to give them voter Id's Visa's, visa's? they don't need no stinkin visa's |

poor summarization as noone supported 'open borders' there is already a wall and border checkpoints and laws. perhaps if there was more analysis of actual quantifiable information instead of emotionalism and name calling, there could be a solution on the horizon... Perhaps if your "actual quantifiable information" was actually true, but I doubt it. Your problem is that you know a lot about nothing. thats why I post the sources for that 'nothing' so others can use their brains and decide for themselves unlike many who just continue divisive rherotic, unfounded accusations, namecalling, and other techniques to simply deflect from and not give answers ... and how many others have you converted with your techniques? Let me see .....................................................................................nada! That shows you that others do use their brains goodnight |

The british used thousands of tons of opium to subvert china's self protective wall of isolationism. Some 'countries' I won't mention, use thousands of tons of bombs to subvert other countries' self protective wall of isolationism. A wall surrounding an imaginary 'land of milk and honey' will not last forever, no matter what 'religion' you waste your time with. A line of soldiers 2000 miles long - just imagine the 'friendly fire' accidents, the environmental destruction, the cost of infrastructure needed to supply the troops and remove waste, the ongoing medical and mental health issues for those troops, the disruption to communities anywhere near the border, etc. Didn't some president not so long ago say "tear down that wall" to the eastern bloc. A wall around Trump Tower would be more effective and inexpensive. Oh, you were doing so well until you threw in the Trump slur at the end. The wall that some president spoke about was built to keep people in not out. |

ok, lot of analytical thinking and talk going on here. Let me try sum it all up if I can. Liberals will say and make all kinds of claims and arguments to keep the border open because they need the votes. The majority of Americans don't buy their BS. Liberals realize without the illegal votes, they got nothing.
Tada! |

Yes, border walls are interesting. I find it interesting that at least 65 other countries have border walls. I guess they feel entitled too. One the most famous being "The great wall of China" and the least being the heavily guarded wall or border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic and of course the southern border of Mexico. I also find it interesting that since illegals are treated so badly here, why they come here by the millions. Haven't figured that out yet. We should treat them as well as other countries do. I dont feel that argument holds much water when we dont even treat our CITIZENS as well as other countries do in terms of aid and healthcare, and even gun safety. We never hold ourselves to the standard of 'other countries'. We concern ourselves with what we believe works in OURS. If it's so bad here why do come here? Why is there a backlog of people trying to come here? Your argument makes no sense. If our citizens are not being treated as well as other countries, why isn't there hoards of people trying to go to other countries? Your imagination is clouding reality. |

i find it ironic that people who are essentially immigrants themselves (unless you are a native american indian) are the ones vehemently demanding to now close the borders to any other immigrants...the attitude of "i'm here now, it's my country and everyone else keep out" is the polar opposite of the principals this country was founded on... America land of opportunity, but only for ME because I got here before you did... kind of hypocritical, don't you think ? No. Who has suggested that we close the border? We need to control the border. Big difference. Get your hat on straight. |

Yea, or how about scaling back the graphic, bloody violence and killing
scenarios that seem to be everywhere. Movies and games, kids are being raised on it. That to me would be a good start. jmo |

That is all true, they all felt that was the thing to do.
Apparently Trump doesn't so he will be the first not to do so. Maybe he will start a new trend. |

i'll try one more time and then that's it... Trump obeyed the law by filing his return.. the IRS also is obeying the law by keeping his return private and not releasing it to the public without his consent... only a bumpkin who just fell off the turnip truck would think, just because someone happens to be employed by the government would have the authority to gain access to those returns... not Schumer, not Pelosi, not Pence or Ryan either, nobody... only Trump himself can volunteer them or they could be subpoenaed by the court and that's it... since all other presidents for the past 40 years have willingly volunteered their tax returns without whining about doing so....IMO Trump is hiding something, or he would release them and shut everyones mouth about it, including mine... Argo, that was a good try but the fact remains, there is NO law requiring the POTUS to release his tax returns. If he has done something illegal or wrong the IRS will handle it. That's what they do. And Trump is NOT the first POTUS to decline the opportunity, google Gerald Ford. |

Trump is required by law to submit his tax return to the IRS the IRS releasing those records for the public to scrutinize would be against the law without his permission... those are two very different things... Yea, and don't forget the Russian thing, he's in bad trouble. |
