I've had 2 recently, who are supposedly from Georgia, in the military over in Iraq, waiting to come home. But they want my to write their CO at a gmail account, and put in for a "leave warrant" so they can be deployed home sooner. Bizarre. Oh, and they both lied about kids. I still haven't decided if they're valid or not. Won't even get into the "I love you" BS. I catch them in a lie , within the initial conversation, they should at least get there gameplan right.....C'MON |

What you should know is that 98% of scammer are boys, between the age of 16 - 25, and almost all are in school and from a rich home, they are not just satisfy with whatever is given them by their parents. as for English.... ..Nigerians speaks and write Britain english. I experience at least one scammer every other day now...they type Britain english, interesting, thanks for the heads up. i am not sure I agree that they are almost all mostly male, as i have proof otherwise. I wonder if this is what these people do for a living? Is it just something they do for fun? Or do some actually get into the country this way.? like i said, they are young boys, they want to make quick money.... and i don't know how they do it, desperate girls of their age goes in to prostitutions for quicker and better money. maybe the one you said you can proof is among the 2%. believe me they are boys! I'm not surprised to hear that 98% percent of them are boys. All the photos I've received from scammers here, on facebook and on myspace are a little too perfect. I am just saying i have had them send me emails with pictures doing specific things, to prove the real photo, just for kicks......but I am sure you are right as it does seem logical. WHatever the case it can be entertaining if you know what they are about, and recognize the scam........ |

i have one called gloria , from reading UK at the moment in lagos . second question was , can i help her with £210 till she returns in two weeks time !!!!! For me it is becoming rather easy to spot them, as there stories are all very similar, a death in the family, an inherited business, all resulting in them being stranded in Africa, or a foreign country. They will all ask for money, tell you they love you, or even try to bait you into offering the money before they have to ask. See I find it entertaining to try and get one of them to admit there scam, so I will talk to them for a while at times. |

I received two. Unfortunately, I don't remember their names. One was from Texas, but was in Nigeria for some type of oil contract. The other was from Minnesota, but was also in Nigeria. She was there for a business contract. Both claimed they knew I was the one from my profile and both asked me things like, "If you were talking to someone online that you hadn't met, but you knew you were in love with her, would you send her money?". I finally blocked them both. I'm like, "I'm not sending money to someone I've never met". There seems to be a familiar pattern with these woman being in Nigeria or AFrica at that |

Do you really think they want to come to the states? or just take your money? They just take your money, unless someone is really dumb enough to send them enough for visa/plane ticket etc...... |
