I am kinda half and half. It depends on what is going on around me. I do have things which I feel very strongly about and I will argue those points to the death. But it really does take a whole lot to get me truly mad.

I beg to differ, but to each their own. If someone is in MY house, and in my presence, I do think I should be involved in the conversation. It has nothing to do with fear of what they are saying or even wanting to know. It is just flat out rude to do that in others domains. I would not do it in their home and I expect the same courtesy.

I could care less what they are talking about, seriously. It's just the fact that they are in my home doing it. They are both American. English is their first language. They just do it because they don't want to step outside to talk about confidential issues. The fact that they are doing it while they are supposed to be interacting with us is what kills me. I think someone must've complained because it hasn't happened recently.

I dont mind as long as they cannot speak Much english as we get a lot of people here who struggle with english when they are visiting, But I wouldnt like it if they could speak english and did it so I wouldnt understand, that I would find rude. I would probably start talking to my children in sign language just so they could see what it was like. Hmmmm and to have a laugh. That's too funny Josie! If I were more fluent in sign language, I would totally do that with some of the people here!

Wouldn't it still be rude if someone was talking crap in a language you could understand? At least they are respecting you enough to keep it to themselves. It's just the fact that they have to keep it secret. I could care less what they are talking about. I don't like secrets at all. To me, if you have to keep something from me, you are not respecting me. If you have to discuss something privately, fine...but do it in a private setting. Not in front of 30 people whom you are currently supposed to be interacting with. |
