I quite often read others advice of 'just be yourself' here in the forums.

In theory it is sound advice, but realistically, when people are being 'themselves', they tend to get ripped apart by people for doing that.....tis like watching rabid dogs fighting over a piece of meat at times.

Soooo...are you being yourself on here? OR...are you complying to the masses and only allowing that which is considered 'acceptable behaviour'?

That's why I always chase everyone away. I will always be myself no matter what and if they walk away - so what.

Absolutely not!

Most want to believe I'm mad at the world all of the time? When I'm mad you will know it as my face will be deep red. I'll throw things around and speak very loudly.

Most would rather judge me for what they think I am versus ever walking up to me to talk. most of the time it's me that does all the talking to "break the ice".

Nobody.

I don't drive vehicles that claim to make a statement I make allot of money. In other words they are not brand new, nor big gas guzzling 4x4 behemoths. I don't live in a house that has at least 3,000 square feet of living space - if not larger. Tops that I'm not an office worker.

Simply put I'm a factory worker doing far more than I will ever get paid for. Live in a 980 sq ft single wide mobile home on just over an acres of wooded property. Drive a cheap "little" Ford pickup and a rusty Chevrolet front wheel drive car for the winter months. Who the @#$%^&* wants to go out with a cheapskate penny pincher like that??

Getting tired of being bumped off the internet!! So far today I've been bumped off FIFTEEN TIMES!!! mad grumble

I have dial-up. It's already pathetically slow to begin with. Then I get these messages stating "DNS LOOK-UP FAILED" . my isp claims it has to do with the browser. Well, I used IE8 and Firefox and they too do the very same thing Chrome is doing.

When I pull the phone cord out from the modem and wait for the PC to automatically re-dial the phone number and get connected, it then reloads the page and I am able to surf the web again - WITHOUT closing the browser. So it isn't the browser or my PC. It has to do with the server stopping to transfer of data to/from there and my PC. Whether that is do to noise on the phone line or what - I don't know.

I've delt with this for years and I am so sick of it! Ran out of funds to get the wireless internet - using some funky looking outdoor antenna. Suppose to have DSL out in my neck of the woods soon. Maybe by the time I have the funds I can go with that. Satellite internet is far too expensive, plus I heard about the issues with the radio transmitter needing nearly constant repair service. And as with satellite TV, the weather can have an adverse affect on surfing the web.

That ain't bad. I would pay the same. I got a great record ....that is a pretty fair rate.

I have a spotless driving record. No auto accidents and no driving violations. bigsmile bigsmile

Sell my pimpmobile? ..hell no ...I love Jezebel.

I am 8 miles from city limits and 22 miles from work. Besides, do you have any idea how hard it would be to look cool blasting out gangstah rap from a boom box bungeed to my chihuahua powered dog sled?

I don't know if it is where you guys live or if ya got crappy driving records or what, but I am positive that you kids are getting hosed on your insurance rates. Just a piece of advice...if you are getting your insurance from a national brand...you are paying extra for all those commercials. Our smaller in state companies beat the hell out of Progressive, Geicko, State Farm. (by almost 30%)

I pay $150 for both my 2001 Ranger XLT standard cab 2wd pickup (stick shift) that has full coverage and the 1994 Cavalier, which has liability only.

Where I work and live I have no other choice than to drive "SOMETHING" reliable. It's a good 28 miles to/from work. Another 13 miles to/from the grocery store (Walmart). Though I don't spend nearly as much as most do when it comes to keeping the car or pickup running as I do most of the work myself. I do all the oil/filter changes, brake work, etc.

I bought a $250 car off of my sister as she was told the automatic transaxle had a non-repairable huge crack in the case. I noticed right away the transmission oil pan bolts were all so loose that the pan was about to fall off. Yeah, that would be a problem. So I bought new fluid and a filter. Never had any issues with that other than the transaxle slips under heavy acceleration or stop & go city driving. Also do to how many years of driving with too low of transmission fluid too. I got that car as it is front wheel drive. I needed something better than my rear wheel drive Ranger for the winter months. If anyone drove a rear wheel drive pickup, van or car in the winter - they know what I'm talking about. Even with 300 to 500 pounds of sand over the rear axle, it is still tricky to drive.

The 94 Cavalier had 118k when I bought it and right now it is just over 142k miles. Still runs great! It has issues, the drivers side door won't open from the outside any more. Have to open it from the inside via the passenger door. It's rather drafty. The coolant tank (recovery tank) has to be filled often in the winter than in the summer do to a pinhole leak in the radiator. Got to keep an eye on the engine oil as it's either leaking it or burning it. And there seems to be a some weeping along one edge of the steel gas tank. Nothing dripping from the tank yet, just some dampness at the edge of the tank seem. If that does get worse (and it will eventually), the tank will have to be replaced with a plastic tank. That also means the steel lines will also have to be replaced too as they are probably rusty too. All contingent to the condition of the car's body. If it's not worth the cost, will sell the car for parts (not parting out, must sell the car outright) and get another rusty honey for the winter driving. I'm so through with financing a vehicle for such a long term (4 yrs & greater).

As long as the fluids are up, the car will last a long time without spending hundreds of dollars to get it fixed. Unless the gas tank starts leaking to a point where it's dripping on the ground - then (depending on the season and condition of the car) will replace the gas tank for a plastic tank.

what striped pants are you talking about?
o.O

They have a single to as much as three stripes going down the sides of each leg. Some have zippers at the end of the pant leg. Some have snap. Most seem to be made of nylon or some other thin light weight synthetic fabric. Though I have seen some made from a knit fabric and fleece.

I think I came across some on Amazon called "Track Pants".

I don't know if that would be something for me. Kinda use to the heavy, sturdy feel of denim.

Do you have any bold plans for making 2012 the best year ever? Are you planning to change your life in any way?

Question #1: No bold plans to making 2012 the best ever.
Question #2: Changes in life, maybe.

I would like to get out from under the lengthy loans and other debt I have. Which I have got out from one debt already - before the new year. I still have one auto loan that needs to be paid off. Then I'mm be F-R-E-Ehappy love bigsmile

What is so great about those striped pants?

I had some tell me I should get 'em. Supposedly cheaper than jeans. I don't see or understand what's so grand about them. Other than they are quite popular among most all ages from little kids to retirees.

Hey I was thinking, I might be able to save you some money on watches.

Buy a calendar!

Open up the owners manual and it says to clean/change the aire filter every 25 hrs, (thats every day right?)

clean/change the spark plug ever 100 hrs, (every four days)

change to oil every 300 hrs.(every 12 days)

Write in all the dates...

Wake up every day, look at calendar.

You could buy an extra LED bulb with the money you save on watch servicing.

Thanks, but I usually get a good 2 years service from a good brand of watch. I usually keep an eye out for ones that use lithium batteries.

I don't think the air filter needs to be cleaned every day. Depends on what the engine is used for. Most are 25 hours or every season. Spark plugs are 100 hours or every second oil change. Oil changes are from 100 to 300 hours or every season, unless the engine is run in very dusty conditions. Then it is recommended every 50 - 100 hours or once a month.

I mainly like to keep track of the total hours of each equipment I use. Then have a running score as to which one I use the most. And which ones give me more troubles as I can pass on that info to others whom may be interested in that particular brand. Let them know they may have issues too.

just my opinion, but don't you want to save some conversation for a second date??

I know mine is crappy. I'm not that good of a guy anyways. Always down in the dumps, too quiet and rather weird to most. I do things that are unusually strange to most people. Like wearing two watches. One analog for the time of day and the other to keep track of the run-time of my gas powered equipment. Open up the owners manual and it says to clean/change the aire filter every 25 hrs, clean/change the spark plug ever 100 hrs, change to oil every 300 hrs. So... that's why I wear two watches. Can't afford self powered hour meters as they cost around $40 each. I have I have four gas powered string trimmers from lite duty to heavy duty. I have three gas blowers and one electric. Two walk behind mulching mowers, one JD tractor, one large 2-stage snow thrower, small gas generator, one horizontal 4-stroke engine from a worn out Toro Sno Hound single stage snow thrower. I also have one 14" chain saw too.

I work on gas powered equipment as a hobby, so I acquired allot of the equipment from family members. Hence the four string trimmers. Only one I bought new and that's the MTD. Two Weed Eaters from one uncle and the Echo from another uncle whom passed on last year. I bought two gas blowers as one recon Weed Eater quit work this spring. So I bought a Ryobi 4-stroke blower. But found out why the Weed Eater wasn't working - a stuck piston ring. Got it going this summer. Then got another older Weed Eater blower from that same uncle whom gave me two of his Weed Eater lite duty string trimmers. I have an electric blower, but your limited to how far the extension cord can go.

I'm cheap, always looking for ways to save a buck or two. I use CFL's and LED's whenever possible. When I can afford LED light bulbs that is. I drive an old rusty Chevy car I paid $250 for. I mainly got that to dive in the winter as it's front wheel drive. It don't look that great, but it runs good, drives good and has working brakes and lights. I have a cheap compact pickup truck too. The one that Ford has (or will be soon) stop production on. That cost me approximately $7,000, that I financed. Soon that will be paid off. Just a plain Jane standard cab rear wheel drive pickup. Nothing fancy, no power anything with it. Even has a standard non-automatic clutch type transmission. It's my pride & joy. When the loan is paid off that goes into the body shop for a new paint job, plus a new coat of paint on the frame too. I have no intentions of trading that in for a new one and be right where I was - making monthly payments again.

Another problem, I still live at home with the last remaining parent. But I DO NOT live here for free. I pay some of the bills. Such as the electric, gas, phone (land line), internet (dial-up), satellite TV, cellphone, auto insurance, and even at times the grocery bill. I keep this place up by maintaining it. Fix things that wear out or break, leak, etc. I even keep all the vehicles up and running. That's what I am working for, even work overtime. If it wasn't for me living at home, he wouldn't be here now. So it has been a blessing in a way.

Lack all experiences as I have yet to go out on a date with a woman. So I cannot fully say I am romantic, a good lover, etc, etc. I don't have many real life friends, though I am gaining a few lately. I have more online than in person.

found this on a forum...

Adding more RAM (don't go above 512meg in Windows versions before XP) allows far less use of the Hard Disk as "Virtual Memory". Hard Disk's are many thousands of times slower than actual RAM, so the only time you might notice a speed improvement was when the Hard disk was active and buzzing away furiously as system RAM ran out. It's a very marginal speed boost at best...you might be able to blink in the time saved!

Upgrading the CPU is another thing entirely. The computer will be quicker and more snappy, but again there will be absolutely no speed boost to "downloading music or videos or stuff like that".

Why? To boost transfer speeds, and lower downloading times, you need a faster internet connection!

I won't talk about uploading/downloading speeds as I'm on dial-up frustrated rant

Eventually I will be going to either a wireless type of internet or DSL. When or if they ever do get it all hooked up way out here in the sticks. They do have the wireless internet available out here though. It uses a radio transceiver with that double circle type outdoor antenna. No, I'm not talking about satellite internet like Hughes Net or Wild Blue, that's too expensive.

I want a woman that doesn't judge me by what they see on the outside. Inside I am a decent caring guy who is family oriented.
