Im 19....a lot of people that look at me are about the same age 30-40.... But Even so.....none of then write me...sometimes I like to bug people....but not lately... You are getting checked out by people who notice you in the forums, they may not write or initiate a personal relationship with you because it's difficult to relate on a more intimate level..real friendship/kinship is based on give and take which takes understanding/empathy and we seek out people who have had similar experiances in life and can relate to each other. On the other hand, if people are checking you out..you ARE connecting with people. Humor and confidence go a long way. If it bothers you, why not send the first email yourself? |

IMHO, I don't agree with friendships in which one party is secretly pining away for the other..it's uncomfortable and insincere, and that's not a true friendship anyway. |

There are several that I would love to meet. People I used to laugh with and call friends..(once upon a very long time ago)
Unfortunetly, it will never happen..unless they happen to fall into my lap.. Actually, that sorta happened with ONE friend from here that I met as she was passing through (**hugs** Nancy aka "plainome", wherever you are today..) I don't focus on meeting people, and probably would never participate in any formal "group" meeting, mainly due to being broke and having a young child that I would never go lugging around to other states, doesn't mean that I don't wish I had the freedom to do so (  to old and new friends)

Dear Ex, I can forgive you for everything but cheating our daughter out of a loving 2 parent family, a stable home, & every chance for a happy normal childhood. I know you hoped I would fail in raising her. You place "winning" above everything. She excelled in spite of you. She is a remarkable young woman.
