Great Graduation Gifts?

going on to med school means broke, and stressed... pay for a couple hrs of massage that he can use over time- everybody loves and needs massage and maybe a hefty gift card for the market nearby or a happy hour joint with decent food-so he can keep himself fed. prepaid gas cards are a hit as well. |

Nice. Christians are both, if you strictly follow what the churches say. Because they want you to be blind sheep and they are divided by different sects of Christianity, thus both terms are indeed true, even though contradictory. That's the way the churches like it and the way they keep the pews full. If Christians were blind sheep, then there wouldn't have been the protestant reformation. If Christians were blind sheep, then we wouldn't have hundreds of denominations. If Christians were divided, international Christian councils wouldn't exist. Your position is logically flawed. In one breath, Christians are insulted for thinking for themselves. In another breath, Christians are insulted for agreeing with one another. ![]() thats why Christ said "I am the way" to be like Christ is Christianity.to follow His teachings are the true measure of the Christian...the divided sects are mans doing, not His. thats why the whole of the Bible points to Him. if it doesn't point to Christ, lead to Christ, emulate Christ... it is mans work/word. call me BAAA... |

Here is biblical proof that Paul used a modern day technique called "rapport" to seduce people and win them to his faith. Or else you can just call it deceit. He was like a used car salesman or a pick up artist. Corinthians 9:20-22: To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews; to those under the law I became as one under the law -- though not being myself under the law -- that I might win those under the law. To those outside the law I became as one outside the law -- not being without law toward God but under the law of Christ -- that I might win those outside the law. To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. but he actually was all of those things. thats no different than you having a drink if you're in a bar, having a coffee when you walk into starbucks, or going to burger king and ordering a whopper. that makes you a great deceiver too? |

if you feel God has turned his back on you and losing faith? I have had many opinions from churches. Most say to pray...but what if you have prayed for non selfish...good things and nothing happens? I figured this would be the place to ask. a question i have had to ask from time to time is 'have i turned my back on God' in those times when He feels far away. have i grown lax in some areas ? am i doing all i can do, or am i just waiting for God to swoop in to the rescue? inevitably...yes, sometimes. |

I have to ask this questions.. When you are looking for the right guy/girl, you have a list of what you he/she should be. (ex: blue eyes, big boobs, or tall dark and handsome, Caucasians or African American, smoking or non) Do you actually find a person that person that has it all or do you just find someone that has most of what you are looking for?? I know that sometime you end up with the opposite personality as your own. i think sometimes you will meet guy/girl that is (physically) what you are looking for...but is wrong for you on other levels. and then i think sometimes you will meet a guy/girl who might not fit your physical criteria, but would be a good match for you... so the question then becomes : are you going to have a borderline relationship with your perfect physical ideal, or will you get over the physical and perhaps find happiness with someone you might not have expected? |

Please don't take this wrong, but I kind of think that the mothers & fathers, brothers & sisters, sons and daughters of the slain & maimed troops should have the most say over whether it's all justifiable or not... My own son in law is in Iraq right now...He told me directly that the only reason he feels compelled to be there at all is to be "side by side with his buddies"... first its hard to believe you are old enough to have a son-in-law ![]() and second, i don't know if 'being with my buddies' is a great reason for signing on. i say 'God bless' because i KNOW that these fellas are putting themselves in danger so i can drive my car, go to whatever church i want to, wear what i want, love who i choose to love, go to work or to the market without fear of being blown up... "greater love hath no man than to lay down his life for his friends" ![]() |

so suddenly it is not cowardly to line your pockets with oil money at the cost of our young men and woman's lives ? For starters we are in the wrong country and if we are really fighting terrorism which is a nice facade but hardly realistic ..this war is about oil .. spin it anyway you want but the blood of those dying is on bushes hands .. but we're speaking right now of supporting the men who are doing the hard work. your belief/disbelief in the validity of what initiated this conflict isn't relevant in this current conversation. no one wants to force you to believe that this came about the right way for the right reasons. but soldiers fight because they have chosen to fight, not because they love why they must fight. bush will have to answer for his role...as will every bomb-carrying, back-pack-blowing, market-place anhilator. |
