I am passionate about learning when I'm motivated. I can get easily engrossed in learning about something which gets me analyzing how many ways to look at any situation.

Courtesy anyone??

I'd appreciate the courtesy if I took the time to message someone rather than no response. However, I do understand that sometimes, even with the best of intentions, people will respond negatively to a respectful "I'm not interested" so it's understandable why many don't respond. It may feel a little awkward sending a reply. But it's not good to get too hung up on whether someone doesn't reply. If they're not interested, as much as it may be annoying, then they're just not interested. As they say, just got to let it go as hard as it be to do so.

I was interested in dating but decided to focus on friendship instead. Not met anyone through dating so I'm moving more towards getting to know people.

Just saw Water for Elephants - good film. Rob Pattinson gave a very measured performance, while Reese Witherspoon looked classic and elegant.

Staying away from the photo issue. I have to say that you need to take out the lists and make your point come across in sentences. But don't make them to long. Hope this helps. Oh and Welcome to mingle! Ok, thank you. |

I am sometimes intimidated by highly intelligent men so I don't think it's that far fetched for men to be intimidated by intelligent woman. Sometimes, it's not intimidation but moreso admiration or a sense of awe about what the person knows and whether or not we feel we have enough in common to carry on a conversation with them. I'd prefer someone who is more intelligent so that I can learn more but also someone who would respect my intelligence as well, which I assume would be anyone's wish.
And of course, keeping in mind that there are different types of intelligence, and each comes in handy in different situations. |

What we want does not always mean we will get it. The things we feel we need sometimes are the things we want.... Then we learn to take what we get and make the best out of life with it. This^^^ And what we want is not always good for us, and sometimes we don't realize it until later after regreting a decision made earlier. It also teaches patience to not receive everything we want, exactly when we want it. My wants/needs - genuine friends and companionship. |

I'm big and average. And I don't miss my childhood. I'm glad I'm at this point in my life.

Hi,
How is everyone? Joined yesterday and interested in getting to know people with awesome experiences who're interested in sharing their thoughts on a wide variety of things. I enjoy initiating conversations with people about topics both of us would find interesting. I look forward to meeting some great people here on this site. Thank you. |

The last film I saw was Your Highness. Some parts were funny but it wasn't as good as it could've been. I wish they'd spent more time developing the plot and the storyline. Danny McBride is awesome. And there was some chemistry between he and Natalie Portman.
