When I first started out with this "dating site" thing, I did want a "committed relationship" but the men I meet seem to just want a "booty call". So I have given up and trying to find anyone special. Now I just go with the flow. I just realized i'm sounding bitter. But i'm not  since I have given up on finding that special someone and started going with the flow, i've been having a great time.
I don't see a problem with just having fun for now. You don't have to give up on that committed relationship forever, though. Hi ya Em....I try to have fun in the dating scene....but my morals get in the way. The one just earlier talking about the guys who just seem to want it to be a "booty call" .....well....so I try to communicate w/ a guy who says I want only friendship first and see how things go....afterall don't put the icing before the cake and then I date him and go out for a few dates...then accept a dinner date the following night and woa baby!!!! "wait a min....what happened to making a friendship first....or seeing the cake first....or whatever the hel* you want to call it. His response was " well the icing is far tooooooo tempting!!" WTF!!!!!!! Don't think so!!!! Go ice somebody else's cake then!!! |

absolutely !...I just ended a 24 year marriage...there's something to be said for privacy, and freedom... 
You'll feel differently as more time passes. I was married for 22 yrs. and it's been 3 yrs. and I'm more than ready to settle down again. I hate the dating scene!!!! It's horrible. |

Good Morning everyone !!! Hope this finds everyone doing well.
I was just telling a friend how much I love my spec.ed. classroom and the students and my assistants. Makes going to work a pleasure !!! I love going in on Mondays and hearing my students tell me they missed me this wknd. I tell them HOW MUCH I MISSED THEM TOO!!!! They are my life!!!! Now that my 4 children are pretty much on their own I find I'm putting sooooo much more time into my classroom than before. I have to force myself to leave my classroom at 5:30 or 6:00p.m.
Well....better get ready for school....so everybody have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY!!!!
It's refreshing to hear a special ed teacher talk the way you do about your students. My son's teacher should take some lessons from you. She is nice most of the time, but sometimes I think she forgets that special needs kids aren't the same as "normal" kids.
GOod eve. to you and to BZMOM too. Thanks for the compliment. I am only sharing my true intermost feelings. I knew from a very young age that I was meant to work with children/people with special needs. I started volunteering all my free periods to help the spec.ed. classes when I was 13 yrs. old. Learned sign lang. one summer specifically so I could help one teacher with sev. of her stud.'s who ONLY talked via sign. From then on I WAS HOOKED!!!! Long day...cuz I take a class on Tues. p.m.'s so I'm going to bed soon. Everyone take care and I'll be thinking (and praying) for all of you. |
