Ive seen pics of that, yes. There is a lot of archeaology (no clue how to spell it!!) that confirms things that have been talked about in the bible.

ShyBrad, THANK YOU for that comment. It is awesome! Although I read it every day, I wish I could gain more wisdom from the book to help others, but God gives me what I need for the day. As for the misunderstanding and contradictions you state, what don't you understand and what is contradictory? There are just certain stories from the O.T. that repeat themselves a little differently. Example is the 2 creation stories. The 2 stories of the Flood and Noah's ark. There are other ones I cant remember now. They do not take away from the meaning of the bible to me, it just adds some confusion/mystery to it. Though I guess if we understood everything we would not need the bible or a God...or whatever name we give to God.

Back to the original question, I have read the bible. I am pretty sure I have read it all, though not cover to cover. I have been caught up in all the "conspiracies" about the bible since The Da Vinci Code came out. There are things about the bible I just dont understand: ie certain contradictions. However, I will say that when I have messed up in life, God, the bible, church, etc. were not a big (if any) part of my life then. So, for me personally, I need to read it more.

We just had a story in the news here where a nun was robbed in the convent while she was in her habit. The guy came in asking for water and ended up stealing her purse. Honest to God, when the robber left, she took after him looking for him...she is 78 years old. True story.

I'm all for same sex marriage! I say gay people have just as much right to be as miserable as the rest of us! Muuahahaha! Soooo very true! And another thing salexx, love is soo hard to find. I mean true love. Love that is real, where your marriage vows actually mean something. If you can find it, I say go for it. It is "strange" because it is something I havent experienced so I cant wrap my head around it. Know what I mean. And I do not think they are looking for "special" rights, just the same rights. I'm done preaching. :) Thank you very much for the support! and I definitely agree that true love is hard to find and I mean you guys might think that I would not know since I am so young but I have also experienced getting hurt and all that and I tell you it's terrible. Salexx, you seem like a very sweet person. Stick to your beliefs. Sorry you have been hurt. If you keep being who you are, I am sure the right person will come along.  from a friend.

Hey salexx, now I'm getting fired up hehe. I do not think there is any such thing as common law marriage between two gay people is there? Secondly, if you want to marry someone, which means having it recognized by everyone and God, why should you be restricted in who you marry?

Did not mean to get you fired up. :) I would say...yes. I am neither pro/anti homosexual. What one does is their own business. It does not affect me in any way. I'm divorced and the rate for heterosexuals is over 50% so maybe we are not doing something right either.
