Are you referring to me? lol I assure you I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And while I have many friends from all over the continent of Africa, I am not from there. My mother lived in Durban & Pretoria South Africa though before she came back to the States, met my Dad from Ogden, Utah and had me  ut you do flatter me.....thanks for the compliment!

Thanks for the laughs! You hit the nail right on the head with your reply! lol Not only do I check the GDP & terrorist threat levels, but the FBI travel advisories as well. lol I'm not foolish in these areas, but WOW! You narrowed the world down to Kansas! But it's so boring, I need to leave at some point soon. The thing is, danger, risk, adventure, extreme situations & the occasional fear of danger & change....really IS what I'm looking for. I am very open to situations that would make the average person cringe, for to me, it is all an adventure. I one of my majors is in Cultural Anthropology to which I studied religions. My desire is to travel & perhaps write ethnographies after living with groups of people out of my normal comfort range. If there could be any such thing. I can never seem to find an American man who wants to travel & live abroad, hence the reason I am looking abroad. Few situations deter me, so I say "Bring it on!"

It's something that cannot be explained. Either you understand it or not. Truth be told, after 26 years in the States, I am very bored & ready to move. Figured it would be best to get a head start before I make the big leap :) It's out of curiosity I suppose. And nothing to run from. I happen to be free with no family ties except my Dad, who himself has also traveled around the world & encourages me to do so. It kinda runs in the family. Maybe it's the Portuguese in me :)

I am an educated, American woman who longs to marry again one day & live overseas in the UK or Europe in general. I was raised in Canada & in an international household, so from a young age I have loved & learned all I could of other cultures. While I love America, my heart is homesick for places I've not been yet. How can I find someone to marry who actually WANTS to stay in THEIR country & not marry to come to America? There are so many scams out there & I've never on-line dated before. Please send advice flowerforyou
