small towns disturb me

I lived for a while in a really small town and the people creep me out. Dunno if anyone else feels like this, but I felt like I was in a stephen king novel. Why are they always so secretive and plastic? It irks me...

All Ron Paul's doing is spewing propaganda, trying to rile the natives against immigrants and foreigners, if he ever becomes president, don't be surprise to see the return of concentration camps.

Of course there are still murders in Europe, as there are murders everywhere, but that doesn't deter the euros executing their prisoners.

Fine, you want my opinion, I think it should abolished utterly. I don't care how heinous crimes are, no would should have to die for them. By executing them, you let them win. Keep them alive, let their guilt kill them. Look at Stanley Tookie, former leader of the crips. they executed him for killing two people, even though he did a complete 180 with his life and even won a nobel peace prize for his children's books, but it ultimately did not save his life. It should've, that was a good man and shouldn't have died. So thats my opinion, as straightforward as can be..

the fact that Obama himself is a minority is enough to make race a large issue in this election, it simply cannot be ignored, it will be exploited to its fullest extent, thats just the way it is...

have no love for americans, then again, except for americans, who does? The list is long and varied. Don't buy into the media "everyone hates Americans" b.s. However - if you happen to be one of the folks that "hate America", which as an American you are certainly free to do - I will make you the same offer that I have made to others. (If you are not, please skip the rest, have a great day) If someone truly *hate* America - well, you certainly wouldn't want to stay, would you? After all - you *hate* it, right? I will pay for a one-way first class ticket to any country you like, from Reagan National Airport. I will even drive you over there. We do have to make one stop first however, as a condition of your ticket. That will be for you to formally and officially renounce your American citizenship. So you sacrifice any and all rights, privileges and future entitlements. Since this is an official act, we might as well lump in a legal document that waives any and all claims made by you in the past, present or future concerning any U.S. citizen, or the American government. Funny - I have made that offer so many times to people who rant on and on about 'hating America and everything American' but yet have one single taker for the offer. Puzzling...... What heritage is that? were you born in africa or scotland? |

Actually I understood it quite clearly, I've listened to this man speak, he reminds of the Nativists from the late 1800s, during the Tammany Hall era in New York, that was a horrible time for foreigners and all kinds of minorities (Gangs of New York, anyone?) The sentiments expressed in that movie are similar to what Ron Paul expresses, obviously on a lower scale. I mean if this country can't support all these immigrants then why create the false to illusion as a land of "freedom"? it lures these poor people, dreaming their big dreams, only to find it not at all to what they expected, but we can go to their countries and live comfortably? I don't agree with that at all..

still pretty primitive for the age we live in, surely you have a better imagination than that.. Actually - I was putting it forward as a discussion point, however, if you read the top - it was for a national vote on the matter. Obviously, you would vote against it - which is your *right* - and the majority opinion would rule, either for or against. I do believe the current death penalty is not a deterrent. If you want to use it as such - it needs to be quick and certain. Is it a revenge thing? Arguably so perhaps - but if you remove the lift and liberty of a person, I certainly believe YOUR life and liberty should be removed. If you kill them, then the punishment should fit the crime - we, as a society are are going to kill you. If the national vote was against - then I believe as Rayne and some others stated - no rotting away in a cell - you are going to work, and work hard. Chain gangs are one good start. However, Neal - Yellow has asked several times for your opinion. While we 'get it' that you are against the death penalty, and consider it barbaric (your right, again) What do you suggest? I put mine out there for all to comment on, and you replied: still pretty primitive for the age we live in, surely you have a better imagination than that.. Let US see what you think, since it is your topic, and thus far being debated in a good manner. |

well what i've been led to believe by our education system is that this nation is suppose to be a haven to those that want to start a life and become something. Now all I hear are complaints about foreigners, very discouraging to those that think the US is still the best country in the world. far from it I should think.

the reason I say that is because of his "america for americans" sentiments. Last time I checked, thats not what this country's about.

Like Tony said on his comercial.....NASCAR. You sit in a car, going in a big circle at 150 plus miles per hour, no breaks, its hot, no radio and you have to hold it in for 2-4 hours. Try that. yep,Nascar drivers have it the toughest.not only all the stuff you mentioned but they also have to fight the car to keep control of it and they have to be able to handle all the G-Forces and not pass out. |
