this is for dating not debating......why do you constantly write these long disertations on this history stuff....there are sites for people that want to talk this stuff with you.... This is the Politics, current news, and events forum. Dating is under General Discussion, Relationship Advise, and Sex and Dating, as well as others. I don't understand you problem here? My suggestion would be that you should stay out of this forum if it bugs you so much.

Ok, here goes. IMO
His father is a black African, his wife is Black, his children are Black. He is proud of his Black heritage and so am I. The significance is not that he is "black", it's that the ceiling has been broken. No longer will we blindly listen to a bunch of old white men who only have their own best interest at heart! The "game" is over if we, the American people, pay attention and insist that this wasteful, frivolous, behavior we have ignored for far too long ends. Loss of power is so hard to take.

HA! you could pretty much ask the same thing no matter where you are in Oklahoma, from my experience. I KNOW there has to be people out doing things other than drinking or getting high, but I havent met a lot of them yet, and apparently am not going to meet any on this site. gee, take a girl to a museum? whats that?! whatever. sorry feeling negative tonight. Of course it's boils down to a matter of taste, but I would love for a guy to ask me out and take me to a museum. I'm sad for you that you think that is a negative thing.

Since I am mixed suddenly I am no longer Black? Woo Hoo! LOL! Look at the picture, what do you see? I'll tell you what you SHOULD SEE an American Woman. We are all in this together, we all have loved ones that have been affected in some shape, form or fashion. He is drawing interest and the media is only doin what they do best... make money. This is the most expensive Inagural ever. Personally, I wouldnt give a Hoot about Pomp and Circumstance. It will be more interesting once he clocks in for his first day and there after. I have to somewhat agree with you. I'm a little disillusioned by the hoopla!  Maybe from a historic aspect, many people should witness it, but I don't see shy so much should be spent on it.

There are very few people I "know" on the internet, so anybody can say anything that's on their mind to me or about me and it doesn't bother me at all. And, I usually say exactly what's on my mind. But, when they get scary (which has happened a few times), or are a scammer, then I will report them.

I've read all the comments and I think everyone is kind of missing the point of why this is offensive. The exact words are irrelevant. It's the intent that is offensive. If these people (the texters) were not trying to be offensive, they would have just said, "We wish our new President well". And, the slurring of one, doesn't make the slurring of another right. I'm just as outraged at the slur of blacks as I am at the slur of whites, Indians, etc.

OK.THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY! HOW IN THE WORLD I LOCK THE DOOR OF MY APARTMENT EVERY TIME AND I FIND IT OPEN ,NOT UNLOCK ,O P E N ,FOR ABOUT 9 TIMES DURING DECEMBER .IT IS HAPPEN WHEN WE ARE HOME AND WHEN WE ARE NOT HOME . I ALWAYS FIND THE DOOR LARGE OPENED.TODAY AGAIN .  I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE ANYMORE .AND I HAVE 2 LOCKS NOT ONE . I ALSO HAVE UP SOMETHING LIKE A CHAIN TO KEEP IT BLOCKED FROM INSIDE DURING NIGHT TIME .I GET UP AT 5 AM AND THE DOOR WAS LARGE OPENED AGAIN . WHAT DO I DO ? THIS IS SCARING ME

Not really. Have you ever had a seat near one of the engines? It's quite annoying. Aren't the engines near the wings? I've sat near the wings. I was annoyed I couldn't see the view too well. Oddly enough, looking out the window helps the nausea. My only thought is that the brother might have been very young. That would explain a curiosity to me. When I went through security, there was a white man in his sixties in front of me and a white girl in her twenties behind me. They both got searched. I went through. Go figure.

I'm wondering, who pays the salary of the legal assistants that work for the Justices? I wonder what they make and if they got a raise or if they have the same exteded health and retirement benefits as the hirearchy of our governing officials?? I work for a state government agency and I can tell you that we have already been told that there will be no money for raises and budgets will be cut. I would bet what little money I have that the assistants will probably get a raise, as well as others within that branch, but other federal employees will most likely not. Doesn't that make it even more interesting that these people have the audacity to suggest they need a raise?

IMO The other 98% want to keep their fantasy of what having wealthy and prosperity really means. He has a plan, it's called stop spending money, real money, we don't have, cut out the corruption, and start being fiscally responsible. Seems like a good plan to me.
