Jgirl....it's because they think we are as hard up as they are...what they don't realize is we've already been through that. Why would we want to do it again at the age we are?

A few men...yes, Jerry, a FEW, find the BS as bad as we do. They too are tired of it.

We want a man to see and appreciate us for who we really are! Someone that isn't trying to manipulate our emotions or change us to fit the perfect little idea of a woman in his head.

I think people jump into relationships without clearly understanding who they are with, what their needs are, and what their more difficult to deal with traits may be. I am certainly guilty of doing so and have learned some hard lessons because of this!

My last BF loved me because I am smart, funny , fiery, and trustworthy! He didn't bargain for strongly independent, too smart to believe bs, stubborn, rebellious and at times, down right incorrigible! I can speak sharply when mad, although getting me to that point is difficult, if you do...you'd better have thick skin to deal with it. He was overly insecure and always twisting my words and saying I meant something else, which makes me pretty dang mad!

On my best day, I still can not be the woman my ex needs. I don't waste time worrying over petty "he said, she said" crap that was important for him. I could not stand listening to his whining and complaining about how someone at work didn't like him or boss was being unfair. he apparently can't handle..."that's life so suck it up" too well! Honestly, I am a great listener, but some people just never STFU about how crappy their life is when it really isn't that crappy, they are just unable to let themselves let anything go and will never be happy! However much I enjoy stroking a man's ego, one's like him suck the fun out of it by fussing when your whole world isn't busily revolving around him at every moment. I am too independent to be controlled and not too tolerant of jealousy!

We should have spent more time understanding one another than pushing buttons, but we didn't! Understand what your partner needs!

He needs someone nurturing, dramatic, and hanging on to his every word at every moment...that is not me! I need someone confident, trusting, independent and laid back...that is not him! Lesson learned
