i have a psychology degree, so i had access to the mbti, the MMPI
(minnestoa multi-phasic inventory test) and a whole bunch of others.

here's a simple rule of thumb:

do you prefer to spend time when you're relaxing:
alone (Introvert)
with friends (Extrovert)

do you make decisions based on:
your gut feel (iNtuitive)
what you sense around you (Sensing)

do you make decisions based on:
reason (Thinking)
emotions (Feeling)

are you:
judgemental? (Judgemental)
aware of what's happening around you (Perceptive)

the MBTI is not the most accurate test, cos it's self-report.
it shows you how you view yourself mainly. (so it's not always accurate)
