longhairbiker- I disagree. I think when two people love each other or even just like one another enough to date, it shouldn't be a "lets keep tabs for each other" deal, but rather a "I care about you enough to do this for you" situation. There have been countless times I've done things for the people I love and don't feel they owe me anything, and vice versa.

It can be angsty but I also find it to be a bit of arrogance as well (not just on the side of men, trust me.) Bitterness? hm, I'd definitely say yes, it takes some too. I've often thought the same things though.
